OSLO (825), Perth, Australia Nov 19, 2007 [Bottle, thanks Joebrew] Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is hops and caramel. Taste is rye...and what seems to be like grape and some hops. Long finish. The grape taste was very unusual, but this beer was quite enjoyable. yespr (11649), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 18, 2007 12 fl oz bottle. Pours slight hazy deep orange with a light orange diminishing head. Peach fruity aroma, slight woody. Flavour holds a soft rye breadish malt base with a quite nice fruity hoppy flavour on top. Ends in a slight woody tone and a solid bitterness. b33r (363), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Nov 17, 2007 Cloudy dark red color with medium head and nice lacing. Aroma and flavor have nice floral hops and some caramel matls. Spicy and delicious, not overwhelming, and easy to drink. Very good Driftwood6 (214), USA Nov 16, 2007 On tap at Brixie’s, Brookfield IL. Expecting a red ale, I was pleasantly surprised at the prominent hop smell and flavor. I’m not sure if I could have picked out the rye flavor in a blind taste test. But very well balanced with a nice malt undertone. Would like to try again with a clean palate to better detect the more subtle flavors. Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Nov 14, 2007 Bottle. A dark amber beer with a big beige head.
