COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2012 Bottle. Pours a clear reddish amber with a thin very light brown head. Aroma has strong pine notes with a hint of rye and a touch of citrus. Flavor starts with a strong pine note and a strong presence of rye. The finish is more just pine based with a bit of sweet malt and rye.

12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a cloudy red-orange color with a creamy off-white head that leaves even lacing in the glass. Aroma of rye, malts, grapefruit citrus, dry hops, and floral notes. The hops pop a little more as it warms and gets lower. Flavor is heavier on the rye and caramel malts, with dry, bitter hops, grapefruit, bread, and pepper. Dry, malty mouthfeel and medium body. Dry finish of rye and bitter hops. Smooth, with low carbonation. Cool beer.

Bottled. Thin white head with deep, rich golden red color. Rich hoppy, floral aroma and you can taste the bitterness of the hops and small hint of caramel malt

Bottled Sample via Piscator. Could be on of the best beers of the decade. Unreal taste, colour carbonation. Thanks Piscator.

Appearance: clear amber red look with large fine creamy head.
Nose: superb freshness found in it. Quality blend of hops with brown malt with soft character of rye.
Flavor/Palate : fontal woody bitterness with fresh leafy top. Toffee behind., crystal malt . Finishing bit peppery. Some carbonation dryness helps with frontal heavy hop. Clean mature formula. Gem of a brew.

Grapefruit! More than any other beer I’ve ever had. Wow. I’m going to have this again, and see if I can detect the rye more, but right now, one of the best ways to deliver delicious hop flavor into your gullet - and balanced well with sweetness, too.

Bottle, pours a brown red with slight tan head, Aroma, huge citrus hops, Tatse, some slight maltiness but mostly huge hops, citrus and grapefruit, some tomgue tingle with a smooth finish that leaves with a little spice and tongue curling dryness. i like it

Location: 12 oz bottle from Wine and Beer Westpark, 12/27/09

Aroma: Nose has some caramel along with a lot of citrus/resiny/floral hop notes
Appearance: Pours a hazy caramel red color with a frothy white head
Flavor: Taste is medium bitter with a mellow sweetness from the caramel/rye
Palate: The body is medium, with average carbonation and a nice mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This is a pretty nice beer, I didn’t get much of the rye in the nose, but it does come through in the flavor. A nice hop profile that includes all of the citrus, pine, floral, and resin characteristics is joined by a nice caramel malt and rye flavor. The flavors really all meld very nicely.
