3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Abio (1058) - Waasland, BELGIUM - OCT 1, 2011
Orange brown beer. Head sticks ok to the glass but should hold some longer. Grain gets through more slightly then expected. More citrus hoppy, and a bit fruity.
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Edward104 (28) - Herrin, Illinois, USA - SEP 30, 2011
Appearance: body pours a nice reddish brown; head is thin, off-white, disappears quickly.
Nose: hops, a little grassy;
Mouthfeel: creamy, orange-juice-like.
Taste: Spicy/carbonated bite to it; quite hoppy with a “waxy” profile; faintly tart/sweet; citrus notes with a faint orange pith. That “bite” continues throughout and finishes leaving the tongue numb with waxy hops.
Overall: Has the characteristics of an Americna pale ale with a strong hop presence. I respect it but I don’t particularly enjoy it. If you’re in the mood for an American pale ale, then this is a good, complex choice.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tmongoose (336) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - SEP 28, 2011
12oz bottle. the spiciness of the rye. the floral bittering of the hops and the sweet cararmel malt melts together in your mouth for one fantastic beer. you have an off red/brown color that the head lingers on with nice lacing and that you would expect for a pale ale. the flavors work together with this beer. the floralness of the hops with that spice flavor of the rye is indeed very present and very tasty..a go to beer.
4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20 Jvezp (23) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 28, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 10, 2011 Loved this beer, was balanced and tasted amazing. Drove to Halftime from Montreal, and man i should’ve bought 3 more. Damn you founders! It’s an hybrid between a west coast IPA and an English IPA, the Hops of one and the malt of the other...WOW

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ROGUE (1315) - Newark, Delaware, USA - SEP 23, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours a hazey deep amber color with a light tan head that lasts throughout to a full thin layer. The aroma has a blast of rye spiceyness and citrusy hops with a thick caramel base underneath. taste has big malty sweetness, like gingerbread, balanced well by strong bitterness and lots of floral hops. Starts quite fruity, with a little spice throughout. Full body, almost chewy. Finishes bitter with a very light alcohol warming throughout.
