Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Cloudy red mahogany with big, foamy tan head / Malty, fruity hoppy nose / Medium, creamy hop body with excellent, spicy finish / Lively, almost delicate, flavors of orange peel, lemon, spicy rye, and pine, with big hop, malt, and burnt sugar finish / Spectacular rye American pale ale.

12 oz. Light haze on the reddish-copper brew. Large crunchy head lasts all the way and leaves a Swiss cheese-lacing behind. Nice aroma of grapefruit, earthy resin and honeycomb. Flavor is grapefruit and orange-resin hops balanced by spicy honey, and some grainy rye on the finish. Medium body is mostly smooth, slightly oily, and sharp on the hops-’n-rye finish.

I’ve had a couple of red rye beers now, and I suppose this sort of grain must seem to lend itself well to tons of hops. The beer looks great with a huge head (almost too big) it is a pretty shade of red and is pretty cloudy. The aroma is largely floral, and the flavor is very bitter and hoppy. Hops dominate the flavor but the rye seems to provide a good dryness that makes this beer a pleasure to drink.

Deep red color, creamy head. Aroma and flavor: vibrant ruby red grapefruit. Caramel. Medium bodied but refreshing. Dry. Very enjoyable.

Bottle pours a ruby brown body with a hint of red in the head. Lots of rye with the malt and a great complimentary hop balance of resins, and fruit like notes. Drink fresh.

12 oz bottle pour. Deep orangey copper in color, very hoppy aroma. Nice reddish beige head. Definitely more of an IPA than a rye, this is an excellent brew.
