COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As promised Founders Brewing Company has created something unlike the rest. Amongst this summers over crowded race to cloudy wheat beers we have decided to embark down a path all to our own. By using only fresh raspberries Rubaeus translates into intense flavors combined with a no hesitation malt bill. At 7% ABV this is definitely beer. In fermentation we add fresh raspberries at five separate stages throughout the fermentation life cycle to achieve the ultimate balance between tartness and sweetness. This beer is a tribute to Founders way of brewing…. Brewing Beer We Want To Drink

Chunky sedimented watermelon juice colored with pinkish white head. Aroma is a bit cloyingly raspberry, but perhaps that is the point. Taste is the same, very sweet, but with a weird dry biscuity edge, and a medicinal finish. $3/12 oz

Pours a dark pink with a white thin head. Smells like raspberries. Tastes like raspberries. Definantly a nontraditional brew, but is my main weapon in non-beer drinkers into the hobby. I could drink this all day.

12oz Bottle Pours out a deep pink topped with no head. A nice aroma of sweet raspberries. Tast of light berries and a little tart.

Draft @ Capone’s: Poured a red color with thin pinkish head. The aroma was straight up raspberries. The flavor smooth with tart raspberries and a sweet sugary finish. Overall, an excellent after dinner beer.

Tap at Capone’s Pours a nice hazy ruby red with a very slight lacing of a white head. Intense aroma of fresh raspberry with some tartness. Flavor is raspberry with a nice balance of tart and sweet, slight alcohol on the finish. Solid

Dorwart (2110) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - JUN 29, 2008
Thin light pink head of fine bubbles. Strong raspberry aroma with some pretzels and waffels. Color is a bright crimson pink. Light fruity flavor. Bit of tartness and dryness. Lots of raspberries, dry malts and some candi sugar. Finishes a bit tart and dry with more raspberries and sugar. Not my cup of tea.

From a bottle poured a hazy ruby color with no head. Flavor and aroma of raspberries with a lingering finish.

tart but sweet & sweet but still tart. Smells of fresh berries with a light smack of the alchoal. Goes down smooth and is by no means chick beer. Complex and yet simple, like summer to me.
