Aroma of alot of fresh rasberry with light caramel malts in the background. Taste is pretty much all rasberry, sweet, and gets a little bit tart in the finish. Not a bad fruit beer but not something I’d actively seek out again. mansquito (852), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 13, 2008 Red color with a pretty nice foamy head. Smells straight up like raspberry syrup. Beer itself is sweet, but beer, not alcopop. Hard bite to it at first not what one would expect from a fruit beer (typical hefe and fruit crap). Really tart taste as well. punkrkr27 (654), Berkley, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 13, 2008 Ruby pour with a loose white head. Sweet, syrupy, vinous raspberry aroma with a hint of spice. Flavor is just what you expect from the aroma but with some potent tartness. Medium body with lots of carbonation. auderale (572), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 8, 2008 Ruby colored pour with large head. Sweet raspberry aroma, flavor is sweet with some carbonation, not as sweet as I thought it would be. This is ok. bigtaster (185), Grand Rapids, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 5, 2008 12 oz bottle in flute. Great light red, pink clear color and soft white head, looks almost like a white zinfandel. Strong fruity aroma, with some tartness reminding me of a lambic. light bodied, yeasty, sweet, but some dry tartness to balance it. Actually tastes like raspberry’s. A little on the low side of the flavor profile, just not enough, something completely different and good. Holtguy (25), Michigan, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 4, 2008 This beer was like drinking a raspberry smoothie made with sour milk. I guess I should have known by looking at the label. I normally like Founders beers, but with this one, yikes. MoDog (927), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 2, 2008 Poured from a 12oz bottle and served in a shaker. This beer poured a ruby hue with a thin head of quickly fading pink foam. Not much lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of sugary sweet raspberries. I love raspberries! The flavor consisted of more raspberries with a hint of wheat and sweet malts sneaking in. The mouthfeel was thin and light-bodied with minimal carbonation. I’m probably biased, cause I love all things raspberry, but this is a really tasty beer. The flavor is great, but the mouthfeel and the sweetness that makes it hard to drink more than one of this super sugary brews are the two biggest detractors. Pours a light, soft, red in color with no head forming. Plenty of carbonation bubbles racing up the glass. Smell is indeed raspberries. Taste is much the same, of course. Not dominating, overpowering, raspberries, but an almost perfect dose. Another warm weather beer, that’s perfect for sitting outside and enjoying. This one went down way too fast to even notice the near 7% ABV.
