COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not another boring summer wheat beer or lemonade shandy—Rübæus is Founders’ way to celebrate the season’s warmest months. Optimizing the flavor of fresh raspberries added at multiple stages during fermentation, this stunning berry red masterpiece is the perfect balance of sweet and tart. No question about it, with a hefty malt bill and 5.7% ABV, this beer is 100% Founders.

2014 bottle. Ruby red with pink head. Fruity raspberries and caramel. Semi dry with medium carbonation. Refreshing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy reddish pink color, moderate to small head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is big raspberry with notes of other fruits and light caramel. Medium to light bodied, big raspberry flavor but still enough malt complexity to remind you it’s still a beer. Finishes sweet but not overly so.

Bit of a strange one. Not a huge aroma. Looks like a berry fruit juice, but with a head like Guinness. Fruity taste is a bit dulled down by the smooth nitro. Not sharp tasting, like you would normally expect from a fruit beer. (K)

Aroma: intense raspberries, molasses. Appearance: hazy red, frothy, reddish head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: intense fruits, raspberries. Overall: sweet Fruit Beer, for raspberry lovers. Pint at Craft Beer Rising, Shoreditch.

Pours red, bit of white foam. Looking like a lots of raspberry has been used in this one. Aroma has more of it - but is funnily also a bit soapy. You can feel the malt body underneath the berries but berries are quite dominant in the taste. Quite sweet but that sweetness does not disturb me. Drinkability is high and the beer disappears from my glass quite fast, just like magic.

Seems off balance to me. Artificial, candy like flavours, sweetness with some sourness.

On tap at Fatpour on Nitro. Beer definitely tastes like Raspberry - but is neither sweet nor tart. Falling somewhere into an uncanny valley in between. Lack of distinct tart nor sweet flavor is off-putting. Tastes just like raspberry flavored malt. Disappointing.

Pours pink with a thick white head. The fruit aroma hints at raspberry. Flavor is a balanced between sweet and tart raspberry.

On 33 cl bottle. Expected much more. Nice reddish color with a thick head. Too sweet for me.

Its so pretty... Like watermelon.... Pink is, in general, the most delicious flavor, and this proves that it is a thing... I don’t know what else to say.
