A pink color with a pink tinged head. Raspberry aroma and taste. Below that some sweet malts and yeast esters. A nicely balanced beer. krysztofar (344), belleville, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 17, 2007 bottle. color is a deep pink orange brown amalgam. thin pinkish head quickly dissipates nose is very sweet with a berry soda smell. interesting the way this one hits the tongue. sort of hits the front of the palate and sticks. thick and sappy with lots of raspberry sweetness backed up with lots of malt and a mid palate buttery mouthfeel. the fruit isn’t the showcase here.the beer is rich and strong and although it’s sticky and sweet the fruit is upfront but the rich malt flavor and alcohol are in control of this one. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 13, 2007 Bottle. Happy to find this. Huge raspberry aroma, natural and non-cloying (pretty sweet, though). Light-medium carbonation surging up through the purplish-pink (great blend!) body to emerge at the short off-white head. Prickly interesting mf, creamy after the crispness, with fullish waves of robust raspberry (and slight strawberry) cascading over the tongue. Not too sweet at all, very balanced, and very fruity, not adulterated by the usual grainy malt . Dry raspberry aftertaste. This is utterly gorgeous, certainly one of the best, most mature fruit beers I’ve had (though I’ve not yet had New Glarus). CharlesDarwin (1873), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2007 12 Oz Bottle. Pungent cake batter and scone aroma, burgeoning with fresh and frozen raspberries, possibly of Oregonian origin. Higher in the olfactories, late season, fermented on the vine raspberries from midwestern fields move in and bring some mature vinous character. Clean. Liquor a fine, clear (too clear?) berry red juice, with a rose rim. Flavor stays nestled in a mildly sweet raspberry plain C. Seeds ride in for some light tannic and vegetal quality to disperse what is just a little too much residual sugar. Sugared cream backs up the finish with a little malt character. I think this has been filtered to some extent, but not ruinously so. Again, points for clean, drinkable delicious raspberry flavor, but no gold star in the creativity department. Would have been much better spontaneously fermented. Saarlander (1589), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA

| 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | May 29, 2007 This beer is absolutely yummy. It is a non-carbonated reddish pink beer. Nice crisp raspberry fruity beer with a medium palate. This beer really has a great flavor without being overly sweet or overly sour. I love this beer! RCL (1496), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 26, 2007 Fizzy rose wine looks. Pronounced raspberry nose. Flavor has a sweet raspberry entrance but it has some off flavors on the finish.
