Not another boring summer wheat beer or lemonade shandy—Rübæus is Founders’ way to celebrate the season’s warmest months. Optimizing the flavor of fresh raspberries added at multiple stages during fermentation, this stunning berry red masterpiece is the perfect balance of sweet and tart. No question about it, with a hefty malt bill and 5.7% ABV, this beer is 100% Founders.

Its so pretty... Like watermelon.... Pink is, in general, the most delicious flavor, and this proves that it is a thing... I don’t know what else to say.

5.7%ABV. raspberry ale. Nose is raspberry Jell-o. Palate is cidery. Sweet fruity. To their credit there is some nice residual hoppy finish which you won’t get in any other fruity cidery sort of brew....so there ya go!

Bottle. Pink pour white a pinkish white head. Aroma of raspberries and mineral water. Flavor raspberry and light malt. A nice fruit beer where the fruit really stands out. Very easy to drink.

Bottle. Deep pink with small frothy pink head. Strong raspberry aromas with lime juice elements and some biscuity malt. Similar flavours, with a very sweet front and mid palate and only slightly sour finish. Not overly complicated. I'd like some more tartness. Went magnificently with a cheddar washed in sour raspberry beer from Wisconsin (funnily enough) and even better with a strong, creamy, salty blue from France. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from systembolaget sweden. Big and lasting light pink head. Clear red amber color. Huge raspberry aroma. Sweet raspberry taste that goes over the top and totally dominate this beer. Could be a bit more fermented to make it a bit slimmer and not so much raspberry lemonad.

Pours a clear reddish pink color with a thin, pink tinted white head. Raspberry and sugar aroma. Raspberry, sugar, mild tart and some biscuit flavors. Light body and moderate carbonation. Super drinkable. Raspberry finish. Fresh raspberry flavor, not extract. Pleasantly surprised.

Reminded me of New Glarus' Belgian Red but with raspberries. Well made and a straight fastball of what I expected. Really liked. On tap at Warren's in Wheaton. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From notes (10/15/15). My notes on this one were basically different phrasings of the words "tons of raspberries" -- it’s got a huge, real-fruit taste and aroma. Definitely worth trying anytime it’s on tap, although I wouldn’t quite put it up at the hallowed heights of New Glarus’ fruit beers.

Bottle - small foamy head, beautiful dark red/Amber color, well balanced fruit beer, big raspberry aroma and flavor, slightly sweet and slightly tart, some mild malt balance in there too, pretty carbonated, very good for a fruit beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
