Huge raspberry aroma. Flavor is pretty much all raspberry, a bit too sweet for my taste.

Bottle from TWM Sterling - pours clear ruby. This one reminds me of a weak lambic and I really can’t get past that image in the week that has pasted since I tried this one. It’s ok, if your not used to heavier sours or lambics.

Bottled 06JUL13, reviewed 17JUL13
It’s a murky pinky red ale with little to no etching on the surface. Smells of grain, some grass, a hint of raspberry, not much on the nose. Flavor is nice and juicy with raspberries, and a light adjunct lager flavor in the background. The syrupy raspberry gives the thin beer a distinct heaviness, but my sense tells me this is the robustness of the fruit, not the beer. Lighter carb and a wet finish. Nice beer. Wish Blushing Monk was the seasonal though, then I’d be hunting for that snack for sure.

On draft. Rating from notes. Nice, pink pour with a small light pink head. Aroma of tart, delicious raspberries, mild bready malts. Flavor is showcasing raspberry. Somewhat tart, somewhat sweet from the fruit. Some mild caramel and bready notes as well. Slick bodied, lively carbonation. Finishes mildly tart. Nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma: fresh raspberries hit the nose full force, and wind down into notes of warm caramel. Appearance: ruby red and semi-opaque body., foamy white head. great arc of foam as lacing. Taste: Sweet and tart battle it out, but remain nicely balanced for much of the time. Ends in a kind of harsh bitterness, though, and this may be the only reason I’m not giving this beer a rating in the mid to high 4s. Palate: light and sticky, with lively carbo.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Beautiful ruby red color stirs up intrusive white head & lace. Good legs & retention. Jammy nose, smells like de-thawed raspberry concentrate.
Sweet fruits, creamy body yet still carbed. Mild tartness arises midway through, only to be shuttered by the finish. A touch sweet at the end, yet not overly so. Plenty of malt to support the raspberries.
Reminds me of a NG fruited beer. Better than I expected, likely because I'm not a fan of Blushing Monk or Cerise. Rubaeus is a good step in the right direction. Add some souring yeast & bacteria and I'll drink this all day, every day.
