This is a great example of what all fruit beers should be. Red/purple pour with a white head. Aroma of raspberry jam. Big raspberry flavor, no artificial notes whatsoever. Sweet and tart, truly delicious.

On tap at the Stirling Hotel. Deep purple with a trace of white foam. Nose is raspberry jam and toffee. Lightly sticky medium body with a sparkle. Taste is raspberry, toffee, pips and light lemon zest to tone down the sweet fruit.

Bottle. Bam! If you’re looking for a raspberry-based beer, THIS is it! Super sweet, full-on raspberry all the way, but without the fake candiness, and lacking any bad characteristics, this is some awesome, fruity-but-still-good-beer stuff! I want more. (#5195, 8/11/2013)

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a dark red color with a short lived, pinkish head. The nose is full of raspberrys with a touch of cereal. The flavor is raspberry heavy with a nice sweetness, but not cloying or overpowering. I wouldn’t mind a touch of sour here to balance out the sweetness, but overall, it’s was very well done.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: murky purple with a bright pink head that quickly fades, leaving minimal lace. Aroma: blast of sweet-tart raspberries, with other fruit (cherries, blackberries) underneath, and a good dose of faro lambic-style sourness. Taste: delicious balance of sour, sweet, and tart fruit, with raspberries obviously at the fore; pretty much tasted like a liquid raspberry sorbet with a surprising does of lemon zest. Finish: the sweet fruits last longer than the tartness, and the malt backbone provides a bit of lingering brown bread and leather. Notes: An absolutely phenomenal fruit beer. Not quite as tart as, say, a lambic, but there’s enough tartness to keep it from being too sweet. Loved it.

Guest bottle at FFF poured into half pint. Sweet raspberry and ether aroma. Sweet then sour berry on the tongue melting into fresh baked bread and malt. Delicious.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Beautiful beer - dark red with a light pink foam. Aroma and flavor is almost all raspberry with some light malt. Sweet but not cloying, with a little tartness to balance it. Nicely fizzy, very refreshing. Definitely among the best fruit beers I’ve tried.

Bottle from Mari’s. Pours hazy red with a small pink head. It’s a nice looking beer. The aroma is really fresh raspberries. I was just in Europe and my mother in law grows raspberries. The aroma of this beer reminds me of picking them right off the line. The taste is sweet raspberry. There is minimal beer aspect to this. IT’s nearly alcoholic raspberry juice. I have to score it solidly because it’s as good as I can expect from raspberry beer. I’d love to see this with some wild yeast added to funk it up

Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Very dark ruby pour. Full body. Head disappeared. Thankfully not as sweet as Lindemans or St Louis. Big fruity raspberry. Better than most.
