COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not another boring summer wheat beer or lemonade shandy—Rübæus is Founders’ way to celebrate the season’s warmest months. Optimizing the flavor of fresh raspberries added at multiple stages during fermentation, this stunning berry red masterpiece is the perfect balance of sweet and tart. No question about it, with a hefty malt bill and 5.7% ABV, this beer is 100% Founders.

Aroma of raspberry muffins and cranberry. Pours purple with a medium fuzzy head. Taste is sweet but not too sugary. Good raspberry and cranberry tart. Light mouthfeel. Tastes just like cerise but better.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2013 Bottle. Ruby pour with white lacing. Sweet but not overpowered raspberry flavors. Sweet fruit aroma. One of my favorite fruit beers(up there with belgian red and raspberry tart(

5.7% A burgundy ale with a thin pinkish lacing heaf. In aroma, nice raspberry jam, flowers, very pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet raspberry juice with light tingly notes, smooth and refreshing.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2014 12 oz. bottle poured into a shaker. Appearance is a gorgeous dark ruby. There is a very thin red-tinted white head which dissipates quickly. The aroma is very sweet raspberries with a hint of malt. The taste is very similar to the aroma, sweet raspberries and light malt. It reminds me of sparkling juice. This is a very non-traditional beer and is much sweeter and fruitier than I’m used to. However, I absolutely love it. Founders has found a great balance between raspberries and malt.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2013 Raspberry color. Nice authentic berry aroma. Taste follows suit. Very refreshing. The best fruit beer I have had so far. If more of them were like this instead of watery and artificial, I’d try them more often. Then again, Founders is almost always top-of-the-line regardless of style.

Bottle. Pours deep red with pink head. Tons of raspberry aroma and flavor.. Not overly tart but nice and sweet with raspberry really making this awesome.

Not my cup of tea, but not bad either. Pours bright red with a white head. The aroma is fruity and sweet with red berry notes. Flavor is very similar. Very sweet. Finishes clean though. Okay ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great fruit beer. From bottle. Red pour with white/pink head. Tastes heavily of raspberry with a bite/kick similar to that of a white wine, with just a little taste of malt in the sip (most of the abv apparently comes from the fruit here). Great thin mouthfeel, satisfying on a warm day.

Pours a deep purple with minimal head. Almost more like a sparkling beverage. Aroma is full on raspberries as is the flavor. It never goes too sour or too sweet, but its definitely in your face! I think I like more of a mix like Aprihop than going all out like this one. Interesting.

Bottle. Pours a deep garnet color, pinkish head that dissipated quickly. Nose is sweet and fruity. Mouth is also sweet, some roses and raspberries in their, toast on the back-end. A little too sweet for my liking, but a drier version would’ve been crisp and refreshing. The sweetness in this one was was a little too much like that God-awful Berry Weiss from Leinenkugel.
