This is my second or third fruit beer. Make no mistake, at 7% abv this is real beer (unlike a lambic). Very refreshing and has a nice sour, malty, raspberry taste and finish to it. Definitely a unique tasting beer although I don’t think I’ll be rushing out to the liquor store anytime soon at $14 for a six-pack. Still worthy of a try.

2.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
Did not like the aroma very skunky. Reddish colour, no head. Pleasant taste of malt and fruit. Sweet palate of raspberries.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Great aroma of raspberries, good color (darker golden), and the taste is not too sweet (my biggest complaint of fruity beers). Unlike most fruit beers, I would definitely drink this again.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Enormous aroma of raspberries. Taste is dry berries, almost wine like, very much like a wine / Lambic blend. Very nice.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a cloudy red colour with a reddish white head. Aroma is malt, raspberries and citrus. Taste is medium sweet leading to a citrus finish. I can’t taste any of this fake syrupy stuff people are talking about, I loved it!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bem refrescante.

Is exactly what it says it is, manages to remain a relatively dry drink but with sweet raspberry flavours.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
A beautiful dark ruby pour with little head or lacing. The nose is of raspberry overlaying a sweet backbone. Almost medium bodied with a carbonation level set to provide crispness and a flavor explosion. The smooth mouthfeel translates to an expertly well balanced raspberry, tart and sweet flavor profile. Raspberry predominates, then the tartness hits the palate and ends on a sweet note. The finish is crisp with a lingering tartness after the raspberry and sweetness fades. Another masterpiece from Founders.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Hazy red-violet pour with a thin white head. Sweet raspberry and sugar aroma. Tastes like sweet raspberry seltzer with a slight tart finish. Well balanced and contains a natural sweetness not found most of the other fruity beers.
