3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The son of blushing monk. I know it’s only a 6% beer, but I’m really curious how this will change in 6 months, 1 and 2 years. Re-rate coming.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is by far my favorite Founders beer. It is a purple/red color with a frothy light purple head. It smells like raspberries and tastes like juice! It has a strong raspberry flavor. It’s very sweet, which I love. It is perfect for a summer day. I could drink glass after glass.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a deep light ruby red (almost amber) with a fizzle head. Aromas of tart raspberry in a wheat focused malty way. Flavors light malty caramel mixed with raspberries that taste slightly artificial or at least extract. HIgh sweetness. Reminds of a beer I made with raspberry extract but this one is much sweeter. Has a nice light tart finish. There is just a light aftertaste of grainy malt (maize). All around this is basically one dimensionally but to be expected. A desert brew (due to high sweetness).

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle - Pours bright red with an aroma that’s full of berries. The flavor is sweet without being cloying. The tart raspberries help balance the sweetness, as does a little hops bitterness. This is a fruit beer down right. Quite enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The smell is nothing but raspberry, that great fruity smell, the look is a merky reddish brown, the taste is somewhat like a wine color from the 80’s. Sweet on the swallow, a little tangy, hint of bitter fruit is left on the palate. You couldn’t go much more on the ABV as it is already a sweet drink, a little more hop would help it, but it’s a good fruit beer which I’m not a big fan of.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer has a great sweetness that is expected from its bright redish/pinkish hue. Would be perfect on a summer day and paired with salty foods. I would not be able to drink too many, however, because of its sweetness

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the KBS release. Out of all the beers we tried that night, this was my least favorite, but it was still good. Light ruby colored body. Taste of sour cranberries with some malt characters. I may have rated this higher, but living in Wisconsin and having access to New Glarus and there tart beers have really made all others tough to compare. Still pretty good.
