Not another boring summer wheat beer or lemonade shandy—Rübæus is Founders’ way to celebrate the season’s warmest months. Optimizing the flavor of fresh raspberries added at multiple stages during fermentation, this stunning berry red masterpiece is the perfect balance of sweet and tart. No question about it, with a hefty malt bill and 5.7% ABV, this beer is 100% Founders.

Bottle from Sam’s. Pours bright red, though with a brownish tint to it. Small light pink head. Nose is big raspberry but also some peach, strawberry, and honey. A bit one-dimensional. Slight tartness. Good raspberry flavor but a bit generic and simple.

Raspberry ale perfect for summer, but don't expect to have two of this in a row. The flavor is intense but too heavy. Nice for one shot deal. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours mostly opaque berry red with a bubbly pink-tinged white head. Wet lacing. Aroma is florals and raspberries in the wet grass. Taste is juice, raspberries, Chardonnay. Quite dry and short but refreshing. Mostly sweet, just a touch of bitterness. Caramel malty backbone. Not a massive fruit beer fan, but this is a good one and very enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a fizzy red with white head. Bottle from GE in Altoona. Nose is tart rasberries.....that’s pretty much it. Mild malt notes, but not much - all sweet fruit. Very lambic-esque, lots of raspberry, some strawberry, sugary and lingering, with some syrupy notes at the end. Interesting. A "one drink"-er.

355 ml bottle from great grog. Pours cherry red, short-lived pink head. Aromas are raspberry, not surprisingly, and candi sugar. Taste is more raspberries, sweet. Bit one dimensional, but not bad.

Tap bishop marina - smakat hallonsoda. Ser även ut som hallonsoda. Vitt skum ingen beska och röd.

Bottle@5p. Reddish hazy. Pretty much just ripe raspberries on nose, some pale maltyness. Light med bodied, sweet flavours, but some acidity to prevent it from being cloying. Similar to a framboise, but without the malty acidity. Probably pretty good, if you’re into fruit beers. And don’t like the acidity of lambic- based ones.

Tonvis av röda bär i aromen. Spännande smak, balanserar mellan syrligheten sötman och fruktig/druvig-heten.

12 oz bottle. Pours bright pink/red, white head, aroma of raspberries and ya, just raspberries, taste is the same. I’m comfortable enough in my manhood to have this without worrying what other people thought of my sexuality, but I can see how some might be a bit shy from having this in public.

(Bottle, 0.355 l - BB 02/03/2015, at Kitty’s, 20140708) The beer poured red and quite clear. Its head was medium sized and pink. Aroma had raspberries and mildly maltiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were raspberries, sweetness, tartness and mildly bitterness. Aftertaste had raspberries and low bitterness. Despite the fact that the beer was almost like raspberry juice it still worked surprisingly well. Wouldln’t drink another one, though.

355 ml bottle from Redmonds. Ruby red, pink head, looks lovely. Nice raspberry nose. Lovely light sweet raspberry flavour. This is really simple and so well done. I should drink more fruit beer.
