Yellow pour with a light head. Aroma is light toffee, toasted malt, some earthy mellow mopping. Mouthfeel is light and a bit fizzy. Flavor is lemon grass, some hay, nothing too exciting, but certainly no off tones.

Draft at Founders brewpub. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate earthy, yeasty and small malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Good drink session beer.

Tap at brewery. Cloudy amber color with small white head. Light aroma of hops and citrus. Flavor is pleasent but not a lot of character. This was one of the non-distinct brews for Founders.

BPW #49 Served on tap at Founders Brewing Company. Appearance is Old Gold with a micro white head. Nice simple pale ale with a yeasty flavor on top. Had this in celebration of the first Boilermaker victory of the season.

Danís Bachelor Party Extended Weekend Rating #49 of 90. On tap at Founders in Grand Rapids. Pours slightly hazy golden. Not much for a nose. Pale, light hop, crips taste...refreshing at least.

On tap at founders. Pours a clouded yellow color. Aroma is that you would find of a typical macro style beer. Taste is about the same. Donít get me wrong, this isnít a bad beer, and I bought a growler for my dad who quite enjoyed it. However compared to some of the other amazing beers at Founders. This one just doesnít quite keep up. I would recommend getting this one for someone who isnít a huge fan of most microbrews. Someone who is used to a bud light would rate this as a great start into the craft beer world.

Sampled draft at the brewpub (Grand Rapids, MI). Pours acloudy yellow, champagnesque with small whitish head that dies to a film. Aromas are light fruity pear, and apple with a touch of champagne yeast. Bright and lively. Initial is light bodied, a bit fruity, crisp with a touch of dryness. Moves into mellow sweetness, very light, easy on the palate. A summer guzzler without much going on. Still, a decent summer offering.

BeerBunker (709) - Burbank, Illinois, USA - JUN 21, 2009
On tap at Founders Fest 2009. Pours golden clear with a fizzy white head. Pours just a like a typical macro beer. Not very appealing on the pour. Aroma is of wheat, malt, grass, and hops. Taste is minimally hoppy with only trace elements of hops. Biscuity malt backbone. There is also wheat and some spice. Mouthfeel is light and very carbonated. The first Founders beer I have disliked.

So I was with BeerBaron617 at Founders Festival 2009 and he checked out this beer because he hadnít heard of it. He asked the guy at the beer tent what kind of beer it was and the guy was like "itís just kind of a typical ale"...little did he mention that this is the beer they give someone if they were to come into the Founders taproom and order a Budweiser. Not so cool. It was a pretty lame beer, not much flavor, not much aroma, not much of anything :(

Citrusy/fruity, sour-dough bread aroma. Goldenrod colored with white foam. Lightly sweet and med-light sour. Thin feel, medium bodied, short finish. Tastes of iced tea with lemon.

On tap at brewery. Pours a yellow good with little head and aromas of bread, grass and lemon. Flavor is very similar, but seems to fall a little short of the mark established by other offerings sampled.
