On tap at Founders. My god. This is like what people who don't know what beer is drink... It's bright yellow, like piss, with a small white head. It's crystal clear, and ugh. The aroma is Bud Light with a little extra hoppiness. The flavor just as bad. I'm glad I don't have to try this again... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft to taster at the brewpub. Looks decent; a mostly transparent lighter gold with thin white lacing. Smells of mild hops and grain. Tastes like it smells, but hoppier. Very light grain and a bit of sweetness from the malt bill. Mouthfeel is medium light-bodied. Not bad, but underwhelming.

Draft at Founders - pours a pale yellow color. Soft hop aroma, medium body , mild malt body ... ok.

Draft @ brewery. Creamy barley malt and bready yeast flavor. Hazy pale yellow with a large white head. Creamy barley malt, bready yeast, and grassy hops flavor. Medium creamy body, moderate carbonation. Not quite sure why everyone seems to hate this one, but I liked it.

A malty pale ale that has no fruit flavor at all. Smells hoppy and malty. Poor Stark orange with a bitter finish. Had at home in a bottle ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Notes from trip home in April. Draft at Founders. Pours a clear golden yellow. Average - not missing anything here with so many better options available.

Kind of disappointing effort. Clear gold. Standard pale malt aroma. Slightly peppery hop presence. Very clean, but not too far from MBC fare.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2014 Tap: Hazy, cloudy yellow & gold with a foamy white collar in place of an actual head. Aroma has a moderately low, peppery hop presence with minor ashy, leafy, & herbal characteristics. Muzzled lemon zest & orange peel... Very mild/timid overall. Taste translates similarly... more grassy, herbal, "spicy" hops on the tongue with a sharp bitterness. Stronger orange peel & lemon zest presence, but still secondary to the raw hoppage. Very lightly sweet bready malt mouth coating in the aftertaste. Not a bad beer, but really quite bland when all is said & done... Definitely left something to be desired.

Aroma is light, light hops, not much else. Appearance is clear yellow, white head. Taste is somewhat hoppy, finishes aluminum. Mouthfeel is carbonated but not like club soda. Overall, my guess is this beer is brewed for the guy in the group of ten that prefers Budweiser to real beer. Not good.

Why is this a tap room exclusive? Such an ordinary beer, and not very Founders-esque. It almost tastes like there’s corn in there. It was kind of hard to go from some of the more legendary beers Founders offers, and then having one of these. It tastes average. There is a slight hoppiness and bitterness in the taste, but it’s rather bland and unexciting. It’s definitely a sessionable sort of brew, but I’d sooner take their standard pale ale over this any day. Not much to miss here, folks.
