another innovative brew. Nice hints of vanilla to balance out the roasted malts. Great with a steak.

On nitro tap at the brewpub. 5.0% ABV. Poured dark brown with a classic nitro head (thick, creamy, light tan). Served too cold to detect much of an aroma, but notes of vanilla and light roast were apparent. The vanilla works well in the flavor- I did not find it overpowering, and it added a sweet note to the dry roasted malt character. Thin-bodied but creamy. Certainly not the most complex offering but enjoyable nonetheless.

On tap: served way too cold. Nitrous tap didn't do much either. I thought the flavor was fairly dull, not much going on as far as complexity is concerned. Vanilla was not very apparent. I was expecting something sweeter.

A nice dark brown with a good sized head, aroma was of roasted malt and vanilla extract. flavor was overcome by the vanilla, and not in a good way, way too much vanilla, made this sickenly sweet for my taste.
