COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An unfiltered American wheat ale. A distinct wheat flavor and low hop bitterness make this beer a true summer delight.

Founders Weizenbier pours a cloudy yellow-gold body with an orange cast beneath a standard-sized head of bright white foam that holds fairly well and leaves some splotchy lace at the outset of the glass. The nose is a touch sulphurish, but also nicely lemonish with some vanilla-cookie malt, a smear of clove, and a subtle touch of banana as well. It’s zesty in the mouth with a medium-light body and effervescent carbonation. The flavor starts with a delicate lemonish tang and some spiciness; followed by more malty, wheat-like character as it warms; and then a healthy dose of yeasty character that includes coriander, banana and subtle vanilla in the dry and spicy, citrus-rind-like finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellowish color. Upon opening the beer gushed everywhere. Aroma is yeasty, wheaty and some citrus and banana. Flavor is a bit odd, past its prime??? Wheat, weird banana, and some lemony notes. I cannot tell if this is past its prime or just not that amazing.

12oz via trade with moejuck, thanks joe. shared with bikesandbeer. Pours yellow cloudy with a thin bright white head. The nose is sweet, wheaty and has a bit of a lemony citrus in it. Sweet and nice wheaty bite. Overall a pretty nice beer at whatever age this is. Seemingly deserves a higher percentile if you ask me.

Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay), average hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (dough, earth, leaves) with notes of wine. Medium bodied, thin texture, soft carbonation and a metallic finish. Long duration, light sweetness, acidity and bitterness.
