Light pale body with a white head. The aroma is bready and herbal. The flavor is honey, bread and very light. Light and thin body.

tap: I usually get a pint of this when I can’t handle anymore crazy brews. This is like drinking a light, sweet, watered down beer...with very little bitterness, and minimal flavor. Strangely, though, it’s quite good.

On tap: I would have to guess that they brew this for those who usually drink the BMC variety, and accompany their beer-loving friends to the brewery. Better than the macros, but not by much.

tap at brewery: Very pale straw yellow color with medium sized pure white head. Aroma has corn, vaint caramel, touch of hops. Flavor has corn; is fizzy. Blah

i finally gave in and tried this beer....somewhat of a mistake...light yellow, hazy appearance with minimal head...aroma of lemons....flavor was expectedly mundane as well

Tap at brewery. Cloudy amber color with small white head. Light aroma of hops and citrus. Flavor is pleasent but not a lot of character. This was one of the non-distinct brews for Founders.

Founders seems to be on a pale ale kick with their recent tap offerings (regular ol’ Pale Ale, Harvest Ale, Organic Pale Ale, and now this). This X-tra Pale Ale (4.3% ABV instead of 5.4% ABV) was pretty lackluster and begged the question "why?". Hazy straw body, thin off-white head. Light citrus hops aroma with a touch of pine. The body was lightly fruity with citrus, a touch of pine, and biscuity malts. Thin-bodied and unsubstantial in every regard. Luckily I rescued my palate with another pint of their exquisite Breakfast Stout.
