founders ziffy whomper. reddish brown with buff head. aroma of spice, some chai. flavor is of light chai cinnamon and nutmeg. some breads. 747314

On tap at Founders. Served in a pint glass. Pours a fairly-dark amber with a thin white head and good lacing. The nose carries some wintry spices and a bit of malt sweetness. Flavor is similar. Spices aren’t terribly heavy. Light-medium body with good carbonation and a dry and spicy finish. Pretty good, but not Founders caliber.

Draft at Founders. Medium to deep translucent orange-red-brown body, medium tight beige head. Nose of nutmeg, cinnamon and hints of cardamom (all attributed to allspice). Spicy body with coriander, nutmeg, cinnamon and sweet honey. The spice notes are complex but no single characteristic is pronounced. Enjoyable.
