COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Contract brewed by Gray Brewing Company for The Monarch Tavern, home to The Fountain City Brewing Company, Inc. Our flagship beer, Fountain Brew, springs from the pages of Fountain City’s own history. The original Fountain Brew was brewed here from 1862 to 1965. After the brewery was closed and later demolished, the popular local beer disappeared. In 1997, with the help of the retired assistant brew master and some historical brewing records, the Fountain Brew recipe was reborn. A true pre-prohibition American style lager, Fountain Brew is now brewed for a new generation of enthusiasts.

12oz bottle from Skyview, thanks! Slightly hazed amber with a dissipating off-white head. Aroma of heavy caramel, sweet malt and a spot of grains. Taste of caramel, pale malts, some corn and a pretty clean finish. A tad boring but held okay considering its age.

Amber color with a somewhat fluffy off-white head.Mild grainy aromas with hints of fresh cut flowers and mild corn. Flavors of light caramel, mild toasted malt, bits of grain and corn and a backdrop of light fruit. Dry malt finish with only a hit of bitterness. Nice historical brew.

Thanks Skyview. The beer pours to a thin pale amber body with a thin white head. The aroma is cascade hops. The flavor is extremely toasty with cascade hops. Average palate with a medium light body. I thought it was decent.

Bottle. A amber beer with a white head. Light caramel malt, hop aroma and a light sweet caramel malt, floral hop taste. Medium body with a light dry finish.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of spices as well as a light dusty hop note. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of dusty hops as well as light notes of fruit. The alcohol burns slightly in the throat. Somewhat boring.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Clear, amber golden with an off-white head. Lightly caramellish aroma with a whiff of flowers. Light in body again a lightly sweet touch of caramel and a floral edge. Almost no bitterness. 171107
