COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our porter is brewed in the traditional English style. It has a deep brown color and a creamy tan head. The mouth feel is highlighted with soft notes of chocolate and slight undertones of roasted coffee. Hop bitterness is nicely balanced with the malt and hop aroma being very low, typical of the English style.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee grounds, roasted nuts, roasted malt. Flavor of roasted and charred malts, roasted nuts, peanut butter, and chocolate. A roasty, coffee flavored porter. Excellent! 8/4/8/4/14 (3.8/5)

A nice creamy and rich up front taste that is smooth. A bitter aftertaste with some acidity. Roasted barley flavors and cola flavors. Not much for aroma. Nice chocolate appearance with a thin tan head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark brown-black with a taller khaki head that leaves some solid lacing. Nose of toffee and nuts, light mocha and coffee, and a fair hoppiness, somewhat more reminiscent of a brown ale. Some sweetness with more bitterness and a light tartness. Fairly active carbonation, slick, with a longer roasty finish. A pretty decent brew.

Very good porter, all the toast/chocolate/coffee tastes that you’d expect are there. It’s one of my favorite styles when done right, and this one definitely is. I will have to go on an Indy beer tour someday and try some more Fountain Square.

A decent porter without too man outstanding features. Flavor is slightly sweet with a dry finish. Caramel and dark chocolate dominate.

Bottle. Coffee, chocolate and hay aroma. Chestnut with small head. Sweet latte malt and mild bitter hay flavor. Nice body. Very good.

12oz bottle pours a medium brown color with a brownish head. The initial aroma if of roasted malts and ground coffee with some mild chocolate blend. The flavor is pretty close mot the same. You get that roasted malt and coffee action with cocoa powder in the middle and end. Not the best porter but not the worst.

Draft. Deep brown body. Fizzy, beige head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate, coffee and cream. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. A very sweet porter that could use a little more hop balance. Raw grain aftertaste with some metallic notes.

On Tap at the Slippery Noodle (Indiana’s First Bar!) Pours a dense black with slight head that dissipates. Aroma is a nice chocolate and toffee. Taste is more of the same. A nice porter!
