Bottle courtesy of douglas88. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of wheat, vegetables, spice. Tastes of caramel, earth, some spice, sweet malt.

12 oz bottle from thebeerpirate. Coppery pour with a white head. Nice lacing. Toasty bread nose, almost a burnt malt scent, a light earthy hop note. Burnt flavor, some wheatiness, a herbal quality I can’t put a finger on. Seems bold but without direction. Eh.

Another hook up from douglas88. reddish orange color. Toasted malt and bread aroma. Candi sugar flavor with some wheat and baked bread in there as well. The baked grain flavors give way to a slight sweetness. Decent but i’ve had better amber/brown/dunk’ls recently.

Bottle: Clear orange pour, medium white/beige head. Good lacing. Nose is moslty sweet malt with some breadiness. Taste is heavier on the malt, caramel notes, wheat, and hints of rye. Dry, bready finish with some light bitters. Bottle says amber wheat, name implies dunkel. Tastes more like an amber ale...
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BuckeyeBoy (2147) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 2, 2007
12oz Bottle pours out a orange amber topped with a small white head. some malt on the hose. Picked up some wheat as well. on the lable it has some wheat. I was thinking a wheat beer. But then again the name Dunk’l O well. not bad.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 BückDich (5467) - McCall, Idaho, USA - FEB 9, 2007
Bottle: Dark orange brown color, light puffy head and a touch of lacing. The nose is very toasty and bready with some yeast, flour and grass. The flavor needs a bit more of the doughy malts to bring some of the malts forward, instead a lightly bitter hop note just dangles there in front of all of the caramel to tease you. The finish is even further downhill from here. Thin mouthfeel and a watery tail. The nose is the crecendo followed by the boring, uninspired finale.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 douglas88 (3686) - Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - FEB 2, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 9, 2008 Bottle bought at Smiths. Pours a dark orange color with a small white head. The aroma is wheat, some malts and an earthy aspect. The flavor is fairly light and somewhat sweet; some malt and hops, a wheaty/earthy quality and some roasted notes. Decent, and sort of unusual, a bit thin.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 DrnkMcDermott (2449) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - APR 16, 2008
12 oz. bottle, thanks to Douglas88. Pours dark amber color with a good half-inch head in my common shaker glass. Shows a "clean" beer smell with some mineral water to it. Taste shows some amber malt, not much wheat spiciness. Kind of dry, without much bitterness. Mouthfeel gets a little thin. But then some peppery hops come through, showing this is a European style, after all. Just pleasant, but that’s okay. We’ve already found some better beers out of Utah.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 unclemattie (3353) - Georgia, USA - OCT 18, 2008
Short, 12oz twist-off bottle. Filtered, deep amber, creamy light tan colored head. Light aroma of malted wheat. Nutty flavor, malt sweetness. light bodied. kinda too light. Overall, Boring. I hate to say it, the new A-B Michelob DunkelWiess looks, smells, and tastes more to style than this one. Its an Amber Wheat, not a Dunkelwiess.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 SSSteve (3031) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 26, 2008
a clear brown beer with a huge creamy off-white head. aroma has light touches of caramel but mostly lifeless. flavor is somewhat drab as well with a watery texture. not a good one.
