Maris Otter Malt, loads of hops, a 105 minute boil time and dryhopping results in a BIG malty, hoppy yet balanced strong Ale.

Bottle at Pre Sex. Pours a soft coppery amber with one finger of offwhite head. Nose is buttery and sweet, smells like a diacetyl bomb. Flavor is the same. Some spicy notes.

Sample at Charlotte Octoberfest. Syrupy sweet strong ale, big malt body with some molasses. Could have a little more depth. Little bit of grape and raisin flavors. Pretty quick on the finish. Getting a lot of malt and not a lot of hops.

I had this at the brewery when it was still a little young. Very good, lots of hop aromas, with a good hop punch in the flavor dept. Well balanced, and the alcohol is well masked
