Bottle. Caramel malt and grapefruit rind aroma. Chestnut with minimal head. Chocolate caramel malt and moderately bitter orange/grapefruit peel flavor. Medium body. Pretty good - weird that it is so much darker than their APA.

Bottle was filled right to the top of the cap. Little carbonation. Little smell or taste. Vegetal, earthy smell, metallic, watery.

On tap at Milwaukee Brewfest. Poured clear, lighter coppery-amber with a short beige head. The aroma picked up herbal and floral hops over toasted caramel, bready, and nutty malts.. OK balance, but the hop bill didn’t really do it for me. The flavor found spicy black pepper and earthy hops over warm bready malts.. fairly hot finish with pine resin bitterness. Medium-plus bodied with moderate overall bitterness.. OK feel and flow.. not my favorite of the day, but it was drinkable.

This draft brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a softly carbonated transparent orange colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy and dough. The semi-flat mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish hoppy aftertaste. The soft flavor contained notes of mild hops floral and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

bottle - Pours amber with a huge head. It has a sour band aid smell. Infected crap. Every bottled beer I’ve tried from this brewery has been infected. The draft version is probably okay, but they need to start over with their bottling line.

Pours cloudy orange with thin tan head. Scent is faint fruit, stronger pine. Taste is mildly bitter citrus..peppery, a little biscuity. Nothing special, but pretty decent.

Bottle. Sweet brown sugar malt aroma. Clear deep copper with a minimal beige head and almost no carbonation. Flat metallic flavor. Medium flat body. When there was absolutely no little "fitz" sound when I opened the bottle, I began to suspect I got a lemon. I’ll have to re-rate this some time.

(bottle) amber with HUGE head that would not go away. Some citrus aroma. Flavor was mild citrus hops. Hard to taste around the foam.

On tap at Owen & Engine. Pours dark amberish copper with small off-white head. Aromas of caramel malts and hints of citrus. Flavors of caramel malt, faint hop bitterness, and faint grapefruit. This does not resemble a DIPA in any way. Not really an imperial amber either. Kind of puzzling/
