Pours clear yellow with a thick fizzy head of off white foam. Smells acrid and bad bitter. Almost sickeningly sweet, very thin mouth feel. Alcohol is very evident.

Funny, it’s called "Four-O", but I’ve only been able to find it in 24oz cans. Cool lable, you might want to cut of the top and bottom, flatten it out and frame it. Aroma is alcohol and cooked vegetables. Poured pale gold, no head, no lacing. Overly sweet sugar flavor with an astringent edge. At least it’s a nice 10% abv - why brew a Malt Liquor if it’s not at least 9-10%. (Malt Liquor tasting in the Chat Room, 7/5/2006)

Great label but not much else. you get high alcohol for the money but nothing but a an overbearing sweet alcohol flavor. with low expectations this delivered just that

A great looking can. 0.99 for a 24 oz can - what can you expect? Decent enough for 10% ABV. Less of an outright "alcoholy" taste than many 8-9% malts. Keep an open mind and this is not too bad. This is not a malt to be taken lightly.

40 oz bottle of course!! This has two redeeming qualities - interesting label and 10% abv. After that, you really do not get much....and certainly should not expect much. It’s a 40!!

Can sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours yellow with a large sloppy white head. Aroma of sweet malts, corn, and alcohol. Flavor is nasty too much alcohol no masking what so ever, and sweet malts. Thin body, yuck!

You have to understand the label for this stuff to understand how to rate it. 1. It’s supposed to taste bad. Not so much engineering went into the taste. 2. It smells bad. It tastes worse. The main objective here is a one shot buzz. One can will buzz you, one 40 will screw you up, and that’s coming from a veteran (6 years) Steel Reserve drinker. Here’s what I recommend: Get a bunch of your homies together to talk about ole times, or crappy stuff thats happened, and put a 40 in each hand. If you have 10 friends it will cost about $12 to do this. After you take the shoulders off the 40, you’ll think the same thing I do...Who cares what it tastes like? It’s $1.99 worth of blast-off. The good news is many things come in each 40 of this stuff, like self introspection, religion, value questioning, and an easy path to prison. If you wanna get blasted in no time for little cost, this stuff is top notch. If you’re drinking for taste, you should probably take advice from someone that paid more than $2 for 40 oz of bottled answers. I could go for some wings right about now...

What to do for #600? I mean.. the cellar is in fine shape, I’m thirsty... aw, hell... let’s just go with this. Poured a clear, extremely bright golden with a tall white head. Aroma, thankfully, is rather subdued, and is not overly-offensive... lighter fruits (green grapes and pears primarily) meet corn, light alcohol, and straw/cardboard malts. Flavor and palate were awful in phenominal fashion. Alcohol was invasive and brash, corn husk rough and grainy, and an indistinguishable sweetness (probably from the fruity notes in the nose) that blended with the booze to create a vomitous sensation. Light-bodied and just harsh on the palate... kinda turns your stomach in knots. However, props on the packaging.

pours piss yellow with a large foamy white head, aroma of malt, and sugar. The flavor is god awful, tastes like coors light mixed with rubbing alcohol, i took two swallows and dumped this quickly.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2006 From a 24 ounce can - Pours a straw yellow liquid with a very rapidly diminishing white head of foam and a fruity, alcoholic smell. Tastewise, this one’s just awful, with bad malt and rough alcohol being the predominent flavors. This is genuinely terrible swill, meant to be drunk by winos! p.s. As the "spray praint on an alley wall " graphics should clue you in, this swill knows what it is and who it’s marketing to, so I didn’t give it the lowest rating possible.
