This a beer that is not for mortal man. I live next to an alley which has been dubbed, "Urine Alley" because many "beer enthusiasts"(bums) have used it to dispel the waste created by Four-o(if anything produced by this fine beer can be defined as waste). The can is a work of art perfectly describing and representing my neighborhood. The crisp crack of opening a new can always says to me, "Welcome Home".
As soon as I take the first sip of that sweet, golden, ambrosia, I know it is just a matter of time before I will be dreaming peacefully of hookers and hobos as I lay on my floor in the fetal position having crumpled over and fallen from my seated position on my couch. I would love to tell you all the beautiful memory’s that I have had while drinking this brew, but unfortunetly, a side effect of Four-O is that you cant remember anything after you have drank it but, I assure you, only good things can happen while induced by this intoxicating liquid concoction of heaven.
Four-0 is a unique brew in that, while drank almost exclusively by bums because of the exceptional value, it is also drank by the intellectual gentleman such as myself who appreciates such a high caliber, well crafted brew.
Make no mistake about it, you must be extremely manly and very macho to be able to handle this brew so nancy boys and fancy pants need not apply. So if you are ready for a mans brew which will never leaving you wanting more but may leave you unconscious for several hours, then this is the beer for you! 100% Bigron MAN-approved!

reign of pain brought down on the phoenix crew (via stfun). crystal clear pale gold with a fluffy white head. initially smells sweet and grainy with the usual ’shitty 40 stink’. but after it sits it really opens up (i’m serious here, people) to reveal aromas of pale grain, grape juice/white raisins, red apples, low grade honey, grass and citrus fruitiness. it’s sweet on the palate but not overdone. grainy flavor with some banana/fruit lager yeast, grass, light sourness, fruit/raisins and a dry herbal finish. it does get a bit boozy and metallic as it warms but it isn’t meant to warm! medium body leaning on full but it’s not sticky or cloying. rather, it’s slick and easy to put down. this is the best ML i’ve had ( and i love me some malt likka)...

1st of two shared 40’s, a 40 from st.fun shared with my girlfriend and the posse. Pours golden with a bright white head. Nose is sweet with a champagne vibe. Taste is sweet, thin, and amazingly smooth for 10% god damn if this was available locally and i wanted to slum it I would pound this! This is awesome, I don’t understand the low reviews, when St.Fun said this was better than I’d expect, I didn’t believe him, but this is good.

Can, thanks to StFun. Pours yellow/gold, with a white head. Aroma is corn, sugar, and a bit of alcohol. Flavor is corn, grapes/wine, sugar, alcohol, and a little bit of apples. Amazing flavors for a ’cheap’ malt liquor. I am pleasently surprised at how good this is for what it is suppossed to be.

Nose of cider, corny sweetness, bread, a little banana sweetness and alcohol. Sweet fucking can, I’m glad its street legal. Sweet and corny, some decent light malts. Actually cleaner than most street legal malt liquors. Some alcohol in the end, but the balance here improves its drinkability. Hands down the best 24 oz can of malt liquor ever. Glad I have another!

Four O malt liquor booyah! Huge thanks to WeeHeavySD as always. Clear light yellow. Kind of like a triple aroma. Kind of corn like, like an imperial budweiser.

Can, thanks to WeeHeavySd for sharing! Pours a clear pale gold with a white ring. Crisp aroma of citrus, apple, and yeasty malt. Taste is crisp and fruity, of apple, malt, and a bit of sugar. Lingering fruit. Better than I thought it’d be.

24oz badass can! Shared by riversideak via stfun; thanks dudes. Pale clear yellow with decent fluffy white head. But seriously, the can is badass! Sweet green apple nose with a bit of grainy grass an a touch of street alcohol...love the can. Cotton candy, cheap grainy apple alcohol taste, artificial banana esters...crazy prickly carb. Burns a bit also in the back of my throat. I’ve only had about about 2oz an I already have heart burn. I don’t know about this...I think it would be more enjoyable colder, but it ain’t bad for 10%. The can art work is really the high point.

Rating #1700!!! Thanks to Stfun for tha phat can. I must admit I poured into a standard pint glass at first, but I enjoyed it more strait from the can. Paper bag included. Clear light gold pour with a fizzy white head that quickly settles to fine egg white colored film. Spotty lace with a strong grainy aroma. Waxy and light mouth-feel. Corn, soap, floral notes, light hops(piney), and fruit in the flavor department. From the can the soapy notes were slightly subdued. Hence the prefrence. High alcohol was well masked.

24 oz. Can w/ cool ass graphics - thanks riverside!! Pale gold clear with faint white head; my poperinhs etched glass really does this one justice; lots of corn mixed with alcohol spice; quite smooth with lots of corny sweetness; smooth for 10% too; tin, raw malt; pretty good for a malt liquor
