Bottle, trade with FlssmrBrewAlum. Tasting notes from Election night!
I think I can say this is the best bottled beer from Arizona I’ve ever had, since the only other one was Cave Creek Chili Beer (like a certain senator: all heat, no taste). Pours a light amber color, just a bit of haze. I just rinsed my glass, which is causing some few sudsy bubbles. Smell offers some nice, gentle English hops, staying true to its style target. But bitterness is surprisingly sharper in the taste. Hops dance on the tongue, aided by standard carbonation. Toasty malt backbone. This one’s a delight and a winner. Unlike a certain senator currently 70 electoral votes behind (9:55 pm).

12oz bottle, thanks to radarsock. Clear golden color, with fine particles in the body. Thin off-white head, leaving good lace. Nice, lighter body. Good dry texture, and lighter, crisp carbonation. Nice light bitter taste. Crisp, toasty malts, and a balance of light hops is what I get from the aroma. It’s tasty, but very light and subtle. This is a good, lighter and crisp pale ale, but the flavor is sort of weak for me, and it’s not very interesting.

Pours a nice clear amber colour with a medium frothy head that disappears quickly. Aroma is mild, with some hops and citrus fruit noticeable as well as slight malt backbone. Taste is a little sweet, with a very soft bitterness. Light body, average carbonation, and thinner on the palate. Overall a reasonable ESB.

On draft at zinburger in Phoenix...pours rich orange...nose mild; initial taste only moderately bitter...probably too cold. Why do bars think everything is coors light?

Draft at brewpub. Finally a bitter that lives up to it’s name. Not much on the nose. Bitter taste on the front of the tongue but it fades fairly quickly leading to an interesting beer.

GABF 2011. Clear brilliant gold, frothy white head. Sweet toffee aroma with a touch of lemon zest and balanced hoppiness. Taste is very well balanced but plenty floral with mild toffee tones, and mild citrus rind. Body is a little too light for my liking.
