On tap at the Tempe brewery. Dark brown with a good roasted, woody aroma. Medium body that’s not too thick or thin for a porter and a little creamy. Milk chocolate and cocoa flavors up front then thins out a bit later and develops a coffee and charred wood taste. Finishes dry and smooth with a lasting charred taste. Very tasty porter.

On Tap at Four Peaks. Very deep red brown hue with light tan head. Toasted coffee bean aroma. Taste of dark roasted malt with lots of bitter chocolate as well as some hop bite for balance. Palate is light for the alcohol content. Quite dry for a porter, lingering bitterness on the finish.

Pint at The Main Indgredient. Pours dark brown with not much of a head. The nose is mild and dry. Baking chocolate is the primary aroma. The palate is on the lighter side of porters. Flavor is malty with virtually no hop bite. More baking chocolate and a quick, clean almost ashy finish. Quite drinkable.
