4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 3, 2012 (on tap at Scottsdale location). Dark copper color with small head. Prominent citrus aroma. Big bitter taste with big, juicy citrusy hops and a moderate amount of sweetness. Lighter-bodied with an oily texture. Great bitter finish. A good American IPA, and a bit under-rated.

12 oz bottle from nbutler11. Thanks. Clear amber with white head. sticky lace. Nose is earthy hops and light soap. Taste is big sweet and yummy. Great clear hoppiness. Long lasting flavor that moves to the back of the throat with no bitter harshness. Honey and hay hidden in the yeast and hops. Nice light IPA.
PS I swear to God I didn’t read the brewer info before the rating. The "no harsh bitterness" was all mine.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft sample. Poured clear amber color with an average to large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate resin eathy hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

On tap in Tempe close to the source. Didn’t take notes on the color, but wasn’t unusual; not much head. Aroma of citrus, pine, with some earthy/herbal notes. Flavor was hoppy but showed balance. Same flavor components with a dash of caramel malt. Very solid.

Growler shared by the fine fellow sitting at the next table over at Woodshop 5.0. Pours clear gold with a fizzy white head. Herbal resinous hop aroma with light citrus and pale malts. Spicy resinous flavor with a solid bitterness. Body is a little thin but this is pretty good.

Enjoyed on tap in Scottsdale (brewed in Tempe). A very decent IPA. Lots of lace on medium yellow coloured body. Pleasant C-hop aroma. Very decent bitterness.Appropriate carbonation and average mouthfeel.

Pretty light amber pour. Aroma is a bit lemon tea-like, much like their pale ale. Flavor has medium bitterness, reminds of a teacup in which I forgot the teabag for a few additional minutes.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber pour. Aroma has citrus and pine hops to go with some caramel malt. Flavor is hoppy, but not overly bitter. Offset by a good hit of caramel and honey. Not bad, not amazing.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In short: A punchy crisp and sharp IPA with focus on pine-tree and grapefruits. Kick-ass session beer.
How: Bottle 12oz. Consumed fresh the same day I received it from nbutler11, thanks a lot Nick
The look: Clear golden blonde body topped by a long-lasting small off-white head
In long: Mega hoppy nose with pine-tree, grapefruits and some floral notes. Taste is kick-ass. This is not a round and rich caramelized well balanced IPA. This is a rather dry, crisp and very sharp IPA. Some honey and a tiny bit of caramel, a lot of grapefruits, pine tree cones, coniferous tree bark, dry orange peels, tangerines, some citrus fruits. Sharp bitterness of medium-high intensity. After-taste is rather dry with pine-cone tree. What a pleasant surprise this beer was. I knew nothing about this underrated session IPA. Drinking this was almost a religious experience. Religion gives hope not only to the one who have money. Four Peaks gives hop knot only to the one who have money.
