Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pieÖ Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

Can courtesy of Rusty. Pours a nice amber with medium/high white head in a Russian River goblet. Aroma is over the top citrus. Not expecting this at all. Some pine notes but lemon/citrus dominates in a very nice way. Taste is of citrus, pine, and some sweet notes at the front with malts near the 3/4 mark and some nice fresh bitter hops to round things out. Overall an outstanding IPA that might have just overtaken Furious as my favorite IPA from a can. (Only fail is the lack of a bottle date.)

can pours light amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is big citrus and pine hops with nutty malts. Flavor is rich caramel and toast with a nice finish of citrus rind and pine hops that are fairly assertive and highly flavorful. An excellent IPA.

Can received from my son Keith (Fata2683) for Fatherís Day 2011. Pours amber with frothy tan head. Floral and citrus aroma. Flavors of lemon/lime, grapefruit, and sweet floral nectar with a hopped up finish. Delightful.

Few things make me happier than the moment I crack a can of beer, hear the hiss and smell the powerful perfume of Humulus lupulus. This one here, doesnít disappoint on this front. Perhaps itís the novelty of the can, perhaps it was the setting to which this was consumed, but everything worked and myself and a few belly busting friends downed a 12er of this in record time. It was delicious. I got wrecked. The rest is history.

This beer has a dark golden color and a weak head. Itís definately light for my standards. Although the taste is complex and hoppy, itís easy going down. Itís definately the kind of beer that can be enjoyed all day... can after can after can!

Poured up on tap at the Tempe Four Peaks with clear deep gold body and off white head. The aroma offers up a nice load of grapefruit like citrus hops as well as mild sweet malts and a sense of buttered popcorn. The taste is pleasingly hop forward with very bitter grapefruit hops and orange rind and these are only mildly sweetened by a thin layer of malts and a sense of butterscotch. To midway the malt sweetness fades leaving the full flavored bitter citrus hops completely exposed to the elements and your palate. Is the buttered popcorn a sign the yeast is getting tired?

Clear golden orange with a white head. Lightly sweet aroma with powerful citrus hops. Clean, crisp mouth. Citrus, grapefruit, bright fruits, light sweet malts, and some pine in the flavor. Nice bitter finish. Really nice IPA.
