COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie… Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

The nose on this fresh off tap was wonderful. Fruit and citrus with that hop cover. Taste is a very nice combo of hops and suitable malt to level it out. Highly drinkable.

Draft - Fresh sweet grapefruit. Clear gold with a rich off white head. Sweet pithy and peel bitterness, grapefruit and sweetness come in and it finishes with a nice bitterness that fades quick. Nice big but easy drinking IPA.

Tap pour upon my arrival in PHX...medium clear amber pour with a thick slightly off-white head. Aroma is impressive...bold and clean with lots of fruity (grapefruit in particular) hops, resinous hops and a bit of malt in the background...again, color me impressed. Flavor is quite good as well - good forward hop presence without being overbearing for a ’single’ IPA...the citrus hops shine, but there some piney hop notes, and a decent malt sweetness around to balance things out. Palate is medium bodied and appropriate carbonation. Very good offering that I will probably seek out again!

Pours a finger and half of head on a clear amber body. The aroma is pine, lemon and grapefruit. Nice. The taste is moderate pine and grapefruit bitterness with a good malt backbone. The texture is crisp. A solid brew.

Can with commonmac. Hazy orange with bubbly white head. Orange citrus and sweet alcohol nose. Pine and resin, alcohol there with hoppiness . Double ipa elements but not perfectly balanced and clean. Pretty good for my first Arizona beer, but nothing to get tied up in knots over.

On tap at Top Golf, Scottsdale, Az. Pours clear golden color with sizeable eggshell head and lacing. Aroma is orange, very hop forward and little bit of biscuit malt. Flavor is grapefruit, bit of lemon peel, distinct malt backbone. Very well balanced. Not a standout IPA but it is very well done. Not overly hoppy either.

Consumed in glass after being poured from can. Obtained from a friend who visited AZ. Pour is a very pleasant orange color with a noticeable haze. Minimal, quickly dissipating head with a desire to cling to the glass. Aroma is definitely hops with emphasis on resiny notes. Slight sweetness trying to come through as a result of malty backbone. Strong hop bitterness hits at the back end of the taste. Citrus peel. Maybe a slight tropical fruit element but overwhelming resembles standard West Coast IPAs. It’s actually a pretty tasty, refreshing beer. First one I’ve tried from this brewery (first one from AZ for that matter) and I would knot (clever right? ) hesitate to try again.

Pours a deep orangish copper with a soapy white head. Aroma of sweet pale malts, caramel, passionfruit, mango, guava and other floral esthers. Taste is a nice sweet pale caramel maltiness up front with tropical fruits, mango and guava hop flavors intertwined smoothly with bitter pine flavors. Finish is nice and bitter but very well balanced and smooth... Never harsh. Great full flavor American ipa.
