Draught at the brewpub
Deep blond color; creamy head. Very nice aroma, citrusy hops. Smooth body, moderate malt and toffee flavor, getting drier at the end; strong bitterness, resiny and citrusy. Good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at The Big Pour in Scottsdale. Wonderful fresh citrus, necterine, and resin aromas and flavours, lots of aromatics here with the expected bitter finish. Very tasty IPA. A nice surprise!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I have had this beer in both Draught and Bottle forms. The color is a nice golden hue, and the aroma is a bit citrusy with an almost burlap bag aroma as if that bag was filled with hops.
The flavor is crisp and clean with a nice hop bite that also brings that burlap to the party, very nicely balanced with a slightly sweeet maltiness. The mouthfeel is creamy but light in body. A very good beer to be sure.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Received this one as an extra, I wish I took better notes so that I could thank whoever it was, but you’re out there and Cheers to trading anyway!
Pours a very nice golden hue with a nice bubbly head that dissipates into a reasonably thick crown. Carbonation is very active in my Samuel Adams sensory glass.
Smell is actually very close to DIPA territory, pretty potent stuff. Hop sweetness is prevalent, mostly of the citrus and pine resin variety.
Taste, while more potent than most IPAs is still weak for my DIPA battered palate, but what is there is quite tasty and even refreshing for IPA standards. For specifics, see the smell, but this is sweeter and more drinkable than a lot of other IPAs that I find too puckeringly bitter.
Mouth is thin to medium in body and reasonably heavy on the carbonation. Works well here.
A very drinkable IPA and I’m pretty sad that I will probably not have the opportunity to try this one again, but glad I had this one chance. Very good stuff.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap and cask at Tempe. Pours a clear golden orange color with a smallish white head. Aroma is citrusy hops and caramel malt. Flavor is citrus, mango, light pine, caramel malty sweetness balances this one out very nice. I enjoyed the cask a bit more then the tap version.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Bar Bianco in Phoenix. The pour was very clear with a foamy 1.5 finger head, and moderate lacing.
The nose was very nice, with some apple and pear tones to the hops.
Solid hoppy flavor, with a moderate, well balanced malt backbone to keep it level. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and very quaffable.
All around another great beer in the Four Peaks collection!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2011 Re-rate, 12/11, on cask: A bit too strong of a residual sweetness underneath a nice ipa, otherwise. Bumping the numbers just a tad. Original rating: On draft at the 4P w/ Bockyhorsey. The pour was fairly usual for the style, above average, nice presentation. The aroma was citrus hops for the most part, some slight floral notes. The flavor was citrus, floral, some light pine, but the malt depth was a little weak (biscuity if anything), leaving a slight watery element to the flavor. Not a bad brew, just need to beef up the base beer-ness and we might have something! Thanks for joining me, Bill!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler shared by glid02.
Pours a very light golden amber with a small soapy white head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving little lacing. I think the appearance suffered a bit being from the growler.
The aroma is dominated by the sweet citrus hops, though it’s not over-the-top hoppy. There is some malt sweetness but not much.
The initial taste is of the juicy tropical citrus, pineapples and oranges especially. The finish has a little more pine presence and leaves a nice bitterness after each sip.
The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with good carbonation and makes for an extremely drinkable IPA. This is my first beer from Four Peaks and I definitely enjoyed it.

Good beer, nice hoppiness without being too bitter. Personally prefer The Raj.
