COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie… Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

Draft..phoenix. Pours rich, foggy orange...mild hoppy nose and initial flavor ... Has more an APA taste and feel than an IPA....smooth and tasty

Tap pour upon my arrival in PHX...medium clear amber pour with a thick slightly off-white head. Aroma is impressive...bold and clean with lots of fruity (grapefruit in particular) hops, resinous hops and a bit of malt in the background...again, color me impressed. Flavor is quite good as well - good forward hop presence without being overbearing for a ’single’ IPA...the citrus hops shine, but there some piney hop notes, and a decent malt sweetness around to balance things out. Palate is medium bodied and appropriate carbonation. Very good offering that I will probably seek out again!

c/o Boltz Aroma - nose eludes to an oily West Coast hop. There isn’t much in the way of citrus. Appearance - body color is golden in color; the liquid is clear; the head sets up at about 2" and white, and slowly settles down; there is also some dappled lacing Taste - very nice combination of West Coast hops and citrus (grapefruit and some subdued lemon) Palate - body is medium; the texture is approaching oily; the carbonation is average; the finish moderate in length and a touch of bitter in the middle of the tongue. Pleasant finish.

Big hop character. Bitterness is balanced nicely. Fairly light in color, decent sized head. A nice cross between a IPA and a pale ale. Hope this becomes a regular beer.

On tap at the brewpub, pours a rather clear golden color, decent head, faint aroma of grassy hops, though there were many other aromas in the air that may have prevented the beer from standing out. Taste is what you’d expect from an IPA, nothing too special. Not too bitter and relatively smooth to drink, went very well with the nachos. I’d call it a good one.

Pours an orange color with a thick white head. Aroma is resin, floral hops, and malt. The taste is orange peel, resiny hops, pine, and a good malt backbone. Excellent IPA!

Draft sample. Poured clear amber color with an average to large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate resin eathy hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate duration

Draft - clear golden body with a beige head. Big grass hop nose. A touch of pine hops as well. Big hop flavor! Could use a touch more malt to balance. Good!
