Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie… Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

On Tap at Four Peaks. Clear deep golden hue with a thin white head. Rather nice scent of floral hops with a hint of apricot. Taste was a little piny and bitter with a hint of straw. Light body with medium carbonation, perhaps I’m spoiled being from Denver but this beer did not wow me or taste complex in any way. It was a passable IPA at best, but did have a nice nose.

Sampled at the brewery. Nice white head. Brilliant copper color. Nice hop nose with notes of grapefruit, lemon and strawberry. Bitterness up front and in the finish but some carmel sweetness in the end. I think it could be amped up a bit based upon what they’re trying to sell it as....a hop bomb. Not quite there.

Bottle. Dark amber with white head. Aroma is mostly caramel and floral. Light citrus. Taste is light to moderate sweet medium bitter. Finish is average. Body is full for an ipa. Not your stereotypical IPA with all the malts. A plus too since it’s brewed in AZ!

On tap at Bar Bianco in Phoenix. The pour was very clear with a foamy 1.5 finger head, and moderate lacing. The nose was very nice, with some apple and pear tones to the hops. Solid hoppy flavor, with a moderate, well balanced malt backbone to keep it level. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and very quaffable. All around another great beer in the Four Peaks collection!

I absolutely love this beer, So be forewarned. Pours a clean golden hue, with bright citrus hop notes and some bread. Tastes like it smells, big citrus notes with some bready malt characteristics that edge into the flavor profile. Finishes nice with lingering hop flavors. Overall this one of the few local beers I keep on hand at all times. It is a superb beer and something to show off to out of towners.

A nice hoppy beer that is not overpowering like some of the bigger IPAS that are coming out these days. One of Four Peaks better beers. Their beers are hit or miss, this one hits the spot.

On tap at D-Lux burger in PXH. Pours a light golden color with no head by the time it got to my table....This beer was HOPPY! Almost too much. It didn’t have the complexity in flavors I was hoping for, just a over abundance of hops....It smelled and tasted like pot...but didn’t get me high...

Pours a golden orange. Aromas of pineapple, slight mango, citrus, malt, slight pine and grapefruit. Initial flavor is sweet with a nice bitter backbone. Flavors of tropical fruit, grapefruit rind bitterness, a nice hop spiciness, typical malt background and a little touch of resin/pine. Mouthfeel is oily and a tad sticky. Overall a pretty solid IPA. Worth a try.

Tap. Very fresh hop head. Golden pour, nice aroma, smooth finish. They need to bottle this one.

Wonderful job here by Four Peaks, just the right "bite". Floral aroma, mellow enough to go down super smooth and hoppy enough for a crisp clean sensation when it hits the taste buds. A beer you can enjoy drinking.
