COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie… Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

I absolutely love this beer, So be forewarned. Pours a clean golden hue, with bright citrus hop notes and some bread. Tastes like it smells, big citrus notes with some bready malt characteristics that edge into the flavor profile. Finishes nice with lingering hop flavors. Overall this one of the few local beers I keep on hand at all times. It is a superb beer and something to show off to out of towners.

Thanks to Britt for cracking this. A little more of a classic hop profile with lots of citrus and grapefruit. The flavor is a little light and the big aroma does not come through as predominately in the flavor. Finish is light and muted hops with more of a malt and caramel flavor profile.

On tap at the Monastery in Mesa. Golden amber with a thick foam. Aroma was strong citrus, some pine, and herbs. Medium body had plenty of carbonation. Hop oils gave good presence supported by a lightly toasted malt base. Finish was bitter and moderately dry. Enjoyed this.

Can. Pours clear orange with a medium off-white head that laces well. Aroma is hella dank - pine needles and passionfruit. Flavor is very light sweet and light plus bitter, dank and dark. Medium body. Pretty good.

To be fair, had the dry-hopped cask version, but it was a goodie. The grapefruit and pine hops wove together wonderfully and, as one might expect, the cask presentation made it go down especially smooth. Beer like this makes you wonder why you mess around with grocery store IPAs.

Draft. Medium pale golden. Small white head. Lighter medium body. Decent balance. Fairly sweet. Mild bitterness. Citrus and caramel. Solid but nothing too exciting.

Tasty little brew. Deserves highmarks for its middle-road excellence. Full of nice flavors, very fresh tasting out of the can. Good drinkin beer, not too heavy for the pool.
