COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie… Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

Can @ Craig Garvies. Sweet pine hop aroma. Golden yellow colour, good head. Dry hop & citrus fruit flavour. Bitter aftertaste. A good IPA.

Serving: from tap at Four Peaks Brewing Company. Aroma: moderate pine hop aroma. Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-yellow body. Taste: moderately bitter initial flavor and moderately sour, citrus finish with average duration. Palate: medium body with dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall: excellent. Great aroma, and well balanced taste--not overly bitter.

To be fair, had the dry-hopped cask version, but it was a goodie. The grapefruit and pine hops wove together wonderfully and, as one might expect, the cask presentation made it go down especially smooth. Beer like this makes you wonder why you mess around with grocery store IPAs.

On Draft, Tempe Four Peaks. Pours with a medium sized fluffy white head, that left impressive lacings down the sides of the glass. A very pale clear gold when held to the light. Very fine bubbles continuously rose to the top. Wonderful fresh/clean strong hop aroma, Very floral and pollen/perfume like, with notes of light fresh citrus (lemons). Great mouth feel creamy and a tad sticky, but not that heavy at all. Very refreshing and hoppy brew. .

This one is distinctly for IPA lovers. This beer focuses most of its hops on aroma. The rest are all for flavoring, very little bitter after taste.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2012 Pours copper from the tap at Four Peaks with a white head of foam. I love this beer fresh. Wonderful citrus aromatics and crisp on the palate. A really solid IPA.

Clear golden orange with a white head. Lightly sweet aroma with powerful citrus hops. Clean, crisp mouth. Citrus, grapefruit, bright fruits, light sweet malts, and some pine in the flavor. Nice bitter finish. Really nice IPA.

12 ounce can. This is a great IPA. As soon as I cracked the can I was hit with a huge citrus hop bouquet. The flavor has a firm malt backbone allowing for the big hop profile. This is a fanatic IPA.

Good IPA. Balanced and hoppy but not overly so. There's an interesting note on the flavor that I can't pinpoint but which makes the beer intriguing. As far as Phoenix IPAs go, though, I'd rate this a tick behind SanTan's HopShock. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a golden color with medium white head. Aromas of mild pine and some mild resin. Flavors of some mild bitter hops that are well balanced with the malt. This is one of my favorite local IPAs and one I find myself going to when there are not very many option.
