4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottled sample via the kind hand of after4ever. Pours a cloudy orange amber with a thick, lacy off-white head. The aroma is rich with toffee, pine, oranges. The taste is smooth, rich, lightly sweet; with caramel, sherry, vanilla, fruit. The finish is grapefruit with a slight bit of pine. This beer is amazingly well rounded, and gives little hint of the alcohol content. This is the good stuff.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Lots of sweet sugars and hops in the aroma - smells a bit like Dogfishhead 90 minute. This is quite tasty. Lots of hops but at times it has some Belgian strong characters to it. This is easily my favorite of the Four Peaks beers.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft at the Four Peaks tasting room (Wilson) in a snifter. Pours a nice solid orange with a one-finger off-white head and extremely sticky lacing. Sweet malty aroma with some citrus and slight brandy. Very sticky resin forward with a big piney hop kick followed by caramel and some toffee. The overall flavor is a bit oxidized and mellowed. Tacky mouthfeel with a bitter finish. The booze is barely noticeable. Nice barleywine.

Crystal clear golden color with a small off-white head.
Great and complex aroma with hints of brandy, vanilla and light fruits.
Taste is refined, mild yet complex. Very easy drinking for over 11%.
Medium-light body; Remarkably smooth and mellow for this high ABV

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Itís an almost clear one, golden in color and with a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma suggests it has been stored for some time, with the hops quite subdued. Fluor, pine cones and a touch of alcohol in the aroma. Quite a lot of malty sweetness too. Itís full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, with roasted hints, but mostly pine cones, malty sweetness, caramel and some fluor. Not to forget bitterness. A really pleasant one, certainly one I could repeat. 121110
