3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 rhialistic (134) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 19, 2012
On Tap at Four Peaks. I thought this was the best one of the flight of 8 brews served here. Pours black with a light tan head. Smells of dark roast coffee, cocoa, and toasted malt. Lots of dark, toasty malt flavor with a silky finish, but a little too light on the body (slightly watery). Smooth and easy to drink despite the wish for a fuller mouth feel.

This beer was very dark with a vanilla head wich hung around the life of the beer. A great tasting oatmeal stout with a smooth finish. Defiantly six pack worthy.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ibrew2or3 (4985) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAY 1, 2011
Poured up on tap at the Tempe Four Peaks with deep mahogany body and dark brown edges as well as long lasting mocha head. The mild aroma offers up milk chocolate, dark roasted malts and dark toasted German brown bread. The taste is smooth and seems like a nitro pour (but there’s no way to know for sure from my vantage point) offering smooth dark roasted malts mixing with mild levels of milk chocolate and dark fruity esters. It gets pretty dry into the finish where a touch of burnt maltiness surfaces and heads into the after taste.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 dionysus (1443) - Arizona, USA - MAR 25, 2011
On tap. Pour is deep brown with a khaki head. Aroma shows notes of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. Flavor shows pretty much the same. Overall body is moderate, creamy, and lightly bitter. Pretty straightforward and simple.
