Good while it lasted, toasty and rich, robust, caramel and malts in the nose and a nice hopd spicy bite, discontinued?

tap at the brewpub Feb 2012-I have alwasy loved this place, especially when i was younger and in graduate school. Always tons of hot ladies at this place! I didnt take very good tasting notes for this beer because i was pretty drunk however, i do remember it was very tasty. pours deep brown with a foamy white brown head. lots of chocolate on the nose and lite brown sugar flavors of dark roasted malts and lite roast. very tasty and complex porter. WIsh i had this a bit more sober to remember how it finished out.

I had an whiskey barrel batch of this beer. Very strong whiskey flavor. It was definently a big beer but in the hot summer clime I could only drink one. I wish they had air conditioning. Beer was strong, dark and big. More like a stout than a porter IMHO.

THis is an awesome porter that has all the aspects of a good porter that you need.. Pours a deep brown in color with a slight off-white head... Aromas of coffee, chocolate and rasins and flavors of the same.... Very impressed.
