3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured up on tap at the Tempe Four Peaks with clear copper body and white head. The mild, nay, faint aroma seems earthy and maybe spicy too. The taste is smooth with sweet malts and a touch of roasted malts rolling into spicy hops and a mild yeast. Toward midway it picks up an additional note of earthy hops. I love English style IPA that don’t embrace floral hoppiness. This one is right up my alley. I love the play between the spicy hops, earthy hops and malts.

Not the measure of perfection that the Hop Knot is, but Raj has been a Four Peaks Staple for years now. Any IPA lover should give this a try. Dark amber with a medium white head. Pine and Caramel notes with an IPA’s resin aftertase.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(on tap at Scottsdale location). Copper liquid with small white head. Aromas of toasted nuts and citrus. Dominant bitterness but nicely balanced by underlying sweetness. Long bitter finish. A good, solid IPA.
