EXCELLENT! This beer had a beautiful presentation and a very balanced flavor. It was not an overpowering stout at all. It had a very nice oak aroma and that little hint of whiskey that balanced out the stout with brilliance. One pint was not enough!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had this at the 5th Annual Strong Beer Festival.
Looked nice in the glass, black with a good white head.
Nice oak smoke aroma with caramel and a hint of whiskey.
Flavor was of smoke, malt, chocolate and of course a bite of whiskey.
This was my first beer of this type and I thought it was awsome I hope I can buy a few bottles of this in the future.

Draught @ the 5th Annual Strong Beer Festival in Scottsdale, Arizona. The best beer of the festival, besides some of the ones I had already had. Black but not opaque with a creamy and dense white head. Very attractive aroma with a nice bourbon/vanilla/oak character along with hints of burning marshmellows, burnt currants, chocolate and coffee. In the flavor, the bourbon is profound, but not overpowering. The barrel aging really turned this into a classy masterpiece. I havenít encountered a bourbon barrel aged beer this tasty before. Notes of milk chocolate, vanilla, wood and bourbon.
