Jul 11, 2008 This rating is coming from way back in the archives, about 3 years ago. Poured a orangish color but a bit darker. Aroma was fairly malty and subdued. Flavor was also very malty and heavy with some hints of hops.

Mar 30, 2005 This is supposed to be an ESB so I rated it to a Fullers. It is lacking in body and hop character for an ESB. Tastes more like a high alcohol mild ale with it’s balance.

Apr 1, 2004 Deep amber-brown color, smells like crackers, peanuts, and cinnamon. Warm and malty taste and mouthfeel, but too much alcohol in the finish. Subdued and balanced hops. Like a mini-barleywine? Lots of toffee.
