Commercial Description:
Bavarian Helles Lager. Crisp, clean, golden lager with a hint of spicy German hops and a slight malty finish. This is true Southern German lager brewing tradition.

Sampled and rated way back from my visit there a few years ago. Poured a golden yellow color and had a fluffy white head. Aroma was of a lot of corn. Flavor also had a lot of corn mainly, tasted like tostitos.

DRAUGHT sweet malty flavor, average head and lacing, nice fullness for a lager, nicely balanced This was my favorite beer from their 7 sampler pack.

(growler) Clear apple juice body topped by small white head. Aroma is medium sweet, honey, faint herbal. Taste is medium sweet, honey, some herbal. Crisp light-medium body. This is what folks shouold be drinking rather than the BMC stuff -- a beer can have plenty of character without being particularly bitter.

Inviting banana, sweet malt aroma emanating from a dark yellow/pale amber beer. The taste is a super-honey-malt attack, and the finish was clean and somewhat clovey. This beer is appealing and refreshing, and I venture to say that no one who’d tried it had failed to be impressed. Based on the growlers I saw and the orders going out as I sat at the bar, it’s one of their most popular beers.
