COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A hard-rocking sly session ale (easy drinking) that smacks the lips with tasty bitter hops and citrusy grapefruit shots to the nose. It finishes crisp and dry, sustaining like a windmill power chord. All of a sudden it hits you...this is the one.

I had tried a small sample at the brewery that afternoon, so was happy to get a shaker pint on draft at Bodega in Columbus, Ohio. The pour is a clear golden amber with not much of an off white head. The aroma is citrus fruit, grass, and a nice undertone of grass and mineral. The taste is a fresh cracker malt, along with a light bitter sweetness balanced with grass and grapefruit citrus hop. There is a hint of pine present as well, which adds depth to the flavor. The palate is medium bodied, with crisp carbonation and the mineral dry clean finish. Definitely my kind of beer, very tasty.

Sampled at the ’12 Columbus Mircrobrew Festival. Golden color with a thin off white head. Light orange citrus nose. Flavors of orange peel, apricot and fresh baked bread. Long hop burn in on the tongue. something tart ih the finish. I’d like to try more from this brewery.

Found this on a pilgrimage to my hometown. Pretty good effort from what seems like a new brewery. Color was a bit dark for the style, but it didn’t taste as malty as it looked. Aroma had a bit of earthy malt with a floral pine hop note. Flavor was well balance between malt presence and hop bite. It looked loaded with caramel malt (which I hate in an APA) but I was pleasantly surprised.

Tap at mellow mushroom. Good color pour and nice head. It ends there. Medium mouthfeel but awful pepper like taste cuts through and ruins it. My mouth feels raped. Hops don't shine thru at all. Strange undercurrent tastes too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus hop and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind.

On draught at the Four Strings Release Party on 01/13/2012. The beer is a clear orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter grapefruity hops character and notes of sweet malt underneath. The finish is hoppy with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Pretty straightforward APA overall.
