COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This bitter beer hits major-key notes of citrus and flowers, but finishes with a mellowing, hoppy flourish. Smooth and spirited at the same time?

Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Falconer’s Fight

Draft. Pale orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are a nice blend of tropical (mango and guava) and white grapefruit. Definitely more citric in the mouth, backed by elements of pale male and cut grass. Medium bodied with a solid, sharp bitterness. Well balanced.

Golden amber with a piney grapefruit nose. Thick bubbly white head. Excellent citrusy taste with robust hops. One of my new favorite indians.

Appearance: cloudy pale amber with two fingers of rocky ivory head, excellent retention and lacing. (4/5) Aroma: citrus, floral, pale and caramel malt, resiny pine. (8/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium body tending a little to the watery, moderate-low carbonation, lingering and building bitter finish. (4/5) Just slightly disappointing. The aromas promise a punchy bright citrus and pine assault, but on the tongue the malt seems to gain traction quickly, and comes through as more caramel than pale. (Reminiscent of those malty DIPA’s I love to dismiss.) It’s particularly odd, because the finish is also moderately aggressive bitter, so it’s only in the middle where it really fails to deliver. The slightly watery body and slightly low carbonation aren’t particularly helping, either. And yes, I realize I’m damning this with faint praise, but speaking from last Friday’s experience before the Flames game, I can assure you that this is not the case, and that it’s possible to enjoy quite a few of these in succession, with friends. [7872-20151024] Cask. Gasoline toasted aroma. Hazy, orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter grainy hop leaf flavour. Medium body. Good but a little harsh. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3

2015-10-24. Very hazy bright orange body, small frothy white head. 3++ Aroma is fruity, with a lightly pithy melange of citrus. 7+ Flavour is moderately bitter throughout, Lovely fruity melange of flavours with notes of tangerine, and I think mango? 7++ Average plus body, moderate carbonation. 7+/3/8/3/16 Cask Days 2015, Toronto.

Draft pour pint at Medina. On vacation, so breakfast beers are the obvious choice. Enjoyed earlier today, and took notes. Pours a bright golden color with a ton of foam head and lace. Sweet mango and pine aroma. Flavor is heavy with tropical fruit, and very low bitter. Some orange late. Very nice IPA overall.

Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.
