Bottle from Spring 2016 CANBIF labelled as "Belgian"- thanks Derek. Opaque coppery amber with an off white creamy head that fades to a nice film. Once things warm up a bit and things open up its a nice floral snouff with some light rye, white pepper, light resin with some orange and yeast, bit of coriander. Moderate body and full carbonation, smooth, nice bitterness that grows as things dry out on the finish. Nice touch of booze and dried citrus on the finish too.

650 ml bottle from Canada Craft club. Aroma: that usual citra aroma of well... You know what but also citrus, pineapples well mixed with spices from fresh rye so we don’t smell that much of cat pee. Oops I said it. App: hazy orange copperish, small white head leaving some little lacing and great retention. Taste and palate: medium body, great mouthfeel with this usual rye texture rye that gives to a beer, a tad velvety, clean bitter finish. Overall: honestly I had Sip of Sunshine before this one and I thought this one would feel like a disaster after such masterpiece. It’s way different, don’t get me wrong but it got my full attention really fast. It’s really well made. Rye has a great presence but not too much. Yes I wished it would have been more fruity but I this is the goal behind this one. It’s too make a rye ipa the Belgian style and I think they succeeded. So I can’t compare this well-made beer with a fruity bomb like SOS. Do I like it? Yes. Do I love it? No. But it’s really well made and deserves this rating. Just the fact that it wasn’t ousted that much by SOS is a pretty great sign it’s good.

Very balanced. Cloudy light brown pour. The hops and rye pair very well together and there is a long long finish. The Belgian aspect is subtle but delicious. Classic Four Winds craftmanship.

Bomber. Clear bright orange yellow, lasting firm white foam. Aroma of fruity yeast, floral grapefruit, spicy rye. Taste is juicy tropical fruity hop, grapefruit citrus, abundant tangy rye compliments the leaner wit malt. Average carbonation, medium bodied, well hopped. Very tasty Rye PA. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)
