Taste is juicy tropical fruity hop, grapefruit citrus, abundant tangy rye compliments the leaner wit malt. Average carbonation, medium bodied, well hopped. Very tasty Rye PA. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

22oz bomber from brewery. Really juicy hop taste with a not overpowering Belgian test taste and an almost unnoticeable rye.

On tap @theChurchillVic. Everything this brewery touches turns to gold. This beer is no exception. Measured complexity balancing distinctive rye wheat with Belgian yeast and liberal hopping. Citrus, florals and bubblegum up front, mellowing into spicy rye and caramel. Plenty of bite; lovely bitter finish. Another winner

Went to the Drake in Victoria for my birthday, got this first planning to try a bunch of beers, ended up just sticking with it, even buying a couple bombers for home! I’m already a big fan of the wheat IPAs and this just kills it. Maybe it’s the rye’s added depth. Great mix of papaya and wheat, very bright, effervescent. Since then I’ve tried it against a couple other wheat IPAs and this is definitely my fave at the moment. Best new local beer I’ve had in a long time.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught @ Alibi Room, Vancouver.
Unexpected combo; rye & wheat & hops. It works somehow. Balanced well, rye spice, wheat sweet. Heavy hopper. Milky look though, with zero head.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not so great as an IPA, even with the in-you-face rye. Strong aromas. A good Belgian IPA, really, because of the Belgian yeast. Good drinkability but a bomber is too much for one, will cook with leftovers.
