New World flavours infuse this traditional Czech-style Pilsner. Bittered with Bohemian Saaz and dry-hopped with New Zealand Motueka, for a lively citrus lift.

Appearance: pale lemon skin bronze with a finger’s width of foam Aroma: drowsy summer swimming pool nearing its afternoon end under by a lemon-lime haze; usual pilsner hops lathered in a concoction of citrus oils and secret medicinal salves. Green apple skins circle overhead at lower-case letter distance. Taste: Caramel and cinnamon bun icing ushers direct you to your seat in a grainy malt audience attending a performance of dry, tart hops keen to slowly bedazzle all those waiting with mouths salivating. The cork stage emits subtle tannins and grapes to create a shabby, and thus utterly glorious, aristocratic atmosphere. Palate: substantial, especially for a pilsner. There are no holes or wobbly floor boards. Overall: a genius response the genre. The malts remain loyal while the hops elevate themselves without neglecting their roots.

Crisp sweet pils malt taste, caramel, lots of fruity citrus, bitter floral spicy herbal hop, very flavourful. Average carbonation, lighter bodied, well hopped. Four Winds continues to impress. Aroma is honey, caramel, and a fair amount of sulphur. Taste is sweet malts, clove, and light earthiness. Appearance is a foggy gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.
