Aged in Okanagan red wine barrels, our Saison Brett is invigorated by wild yeast strain Brettanomyces, inviting hues of straw and earth.

Bottle 750ml. Thx MC. Pours golden/copper with huge soapy light-beige head. Good, messy lacing. Aroma is of acid, fruits, flander’s red stuff (vinegar et al.), some acetic. Taste is of sourness, fruits, wine, alcohol, flander’s red features (including acetic) acid. Very expresive red wine, tannins. Palate: Light-medium body, high carbonaiton. Overall: The beers I’ve had from those guys rocks. This one is very complex, and outstanding.

bottle shared by mathieuc, many thanks bro! pours cloudy medium dark golden orange with a small white cap, reviving white cap, good retention and lacing. obvious red wine, peach and other orchard fruitiness, spicy and fruity maltiness - peppery berries, dill, strawberries, light acidity - few acetic notes; grass, flora depth. bright carbonation, light body; tart and drying bretty-dilly-spicy finish. very nice red wine barrel-aged saison.

Thanks to Jamie for that bottle! 2014 vintage. Cork is pushed out as soon as I loosen the cage, did I let it go for too long? First pour is clear and golden and others hazy golden. It is topped by a medium white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is surely of red wine and barrel. Taste is of red wine, fruits, light pepper and oak. A bit of alcohol in the finish but nothing bad. Body is medium, carbonation moderately high and mouthfeel smooth and vinous. Overall a nice product, these Four Winds’ guys are truely killing it and the analogies with our own Dunham are more and more in my case. With this, their brett IPA and Nectarous... top 5 brewery in Canada?

750ml bottle from Ferris for spring CANBIF 2015. Murky dark amber with a creamy and foamy slightly off white head. Good lord that is a lovely snuff, epson salts, brett, oak, yeast, grass, high carbonation, mild but pleasant body, tasty, refreshing, somewhat dry, lemon zest, yum.

Bottle - Candied pineapple and sweet fruity brett notes. Cloudy gold with a rich white head. Tart fruity and a little spice. Fruit is juicy and tartness is light with a lingering yeasty finish. Quiet nice.

Great beer to enjoy on a hot summer day. Came across it this summer and found myself going back to the liquor store every other day for the sweet nectar that is Saison! Going to Four Winds this weekend for a tasting. More ratings to come!
