3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This pours with a big, fluffy white head over an effervescent dark gold base. I was expecting something a little cloudier since it’s unfiltered. There are hints of spice, citrus and hay in the aroma. There’s citrus with a bit of banana, as well as some acidity that adds a hint of sourness, in the flavour. At 6.5 per cent alcohol and 30 IBUs, there’s nothing extreme about this beer. This definitely doesn’t rank among by favourite saisons, but I have a feeling that I would have liked this a bit more if I hadn’t just brushed my teeth before drinking it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 330 ml
Aroma: soft, floral with slight phenolic side to it. Prune, molases, rose, touch of vanilla.
Look: poured with large frothy, lasting cap. Decent lace created. Presentable brew.
Taste/Palate: medium lighter bodied, average carbonation. Slightly chewy top. Shorter walls. Strong bittering hop presence with fruity citrussy mid. Touch of spice with alcoholic heat at finish. Bit astringent. Overall decent ale.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Hazy unfiltered orange with a big billowing white head. Aromas of orange, boiled vegetables and gun metal.
Slightly harsh metallic overtones on the tongue. Pretty bitter for a Saison. I guess there is a hint of malt in there. This is my second least favourite Saison, a style I normally enjoy.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a pale hazed ale in the glass with a rich frothy white cap that lasts. Aroma is spicy, light biscuit tones, hoppy. Peppery mouth feel, very dry and refreshing. Flavor is sharp, bright, spicy-hoppy- clean dry finish - the epitome of the farmhouse ale genre - really drinkable and refreshing.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Part of the BC Craft Brewers Guild Natural Selections 6 pack (2014). Pours a cloudy golden-yellow colour with a big warm frothy cap, good retention and some foamy, almost creamy lacing. Belgian ale yeast aromas with light grass and some spices. A nice grassiness in the taste from the hops, creating a soft dry mouthfeel. Fruity flavours from the malts and yeast. Orange notes with mild tart lingering. Not your typical Canadian brew and pretty close to the Belgian ones.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy golden pour with a thick white head. The nose is earthy and a little bit dank. Has a soft spiciness and a touch of floral character. Fruity peach and apricot along with a bit of woody character. Has a little bit of toasted malt along with a soft sweetness. There is a little bit of tartness that lends it a refreshing quality but it’s got a sort of muted fruit flavour that I don’t care for terribly.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy gold with a thick creamy yellow slowly diminishing head with nice lacing. Smells of soft citrus, Belgian yeast, coriander, pepper, orange, and pumpkin. Sweet fruity taste with nice biscuit, pepper and citrus hops with nice woody straw notes. Dry on the finish. Medium carbonation. Nice and refreshing but a little too peppery. Nice spice with some metallic notes. Still decent
