The transatlantic influence of American brewing inspired us to make a clean and sessionable IPA style beer. We’ve used East Coast attitude to deliver a powerful aroma of Crystal and Cascade hops. IBU: 40 EBC: 10

330ml can from Bottledog, drunk on the train from the can. Crispy toast, grapefruit, citrus and an unwelcome brittle bitterness. Really not that enjoyable.

Can bought in Market Row Wines, Brixton. Clear pale amber, white head. Nose is grapefruit citrous, pine, biscuit malt and light grain, hop resin. Taste is citrousy grapefruit, fair amount of pine and hop resin bitterness, light biscuit and grain malt, light grassiness. Decent zesty pale ale, with some citrous and pine hop bite, although a fairly light malt profile.

330ml can. Hazy orangey golden colour, foam white head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, hoppy. Taste is biscuity malt, caramel with earthy hop resin grapefruit bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel, light bodied, soft carbonation, drying slight metallic lingering bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Can from Beerhive. Sweet caramel, citrus and mild bitterness - nothing really stands out in this beer.

Much better IPAs out there, quite disappointing really. The taste feels like its trying to be something that it isn’t and as a result loses its integrity as an IPA. I’m in no rush to have this again.
