Slightly sweet, pretty drinkable pale ale, nothing hugely notable but decent enough...

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Typical middle of the road session IPA - fine but not fantastic. Cloudy straw colour with a small white head and a fair bit of lacing. Fruit salad mixture including peach, tangerine, pineapple and grapefruit, softened by some sweet malts and then a decent bitter finish. Body is light and oily. Nice, but could do with the volume turning up a bit.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy murky gold 2 finger frothy head with a sticky lacing. a touch of vinegar, a lot of citrus, cashew and walnut nose. Thin body, more of the soapy notes I got from their IPA. Clean hop bitterness, yeast left around a lot of residual sugars. candy like finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml can. Pours with an enormous head which drops after a little encouragement. Very cloudy, almost cider like appearance. Aroma is bold and hoppy. Floral but thick lemon cutting through. Taste is a little thinner compared to the aroma but needs to be for a session ale. Comes across as unrefined, but if the idea is to drink lots of it, maybe that doesn’t matter so much. Having said that, I’m not sure exactly how many I could get through in a sitting. At over 2 quid a can from an indie off license, I expected more.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can - pale amber with a large fluffy white head. Good retention, okay lacing. Aroma of fresh grass and grapefruit with lemon, flowers and a bit of dish detergent (which I hope wasn’t my fault). Taste of lemon, grapefruit and grass. Floral and medium bitter finish. Still a little bit of soap in the taste. Medium body, low carbonation.

At FourPure tap room. A beautifully balanced IPA using a good combination of hop flavours.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl can from the brewery tap room, London. It pours a hazy golden color with a large white head. Aroma is intense with fresh hops and notes of grass, pine cones, citrus peel, grapefruit. Taste is lightly sweet and medium bitter with notes of fruity hops, biscuit and hay. Finisce slightly tart and bitter and quite dry. Overall, really good session IPA and one of the finest offerings from Fourpure

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can at Borough Market in London. Nice fruity hops aroma. Watery super bubbly fizzy palate - way way too much and unpleasant. Taste is slightly fruity hops. Unfortunately like other disappointing session IPAs - watery, empty tasting. Couldn't finish.

Sample at SBWF 2014.
Slightly hazy orange with a white head. Fresh with hops, citrus, hay, some pineapple and light malt. On the light side but still a descent one.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can from Cotteridge Wines. Smells good - pineapple and so forth, taste is crisply crisp. Cleanly clean. And lengthily tasty. Big Bang for abv. Love this brewery tonight.
